Our PP has modeled itself after the 4-corners clock-killing strategy in basketball. And sure enough, it kills the clock.

Bad, bad effort tonight in what was supposed to be a must-win game.

We're going to enter the trade deadline in the same position we were in last year.....right on the bubble, meaning Joe's going to be too scared to start stripping off parts until after the season is lost, and it's too late to sell high to a contender.
Last year we had excuses in the injruy front. This year there's no excuse.

The Dallas front office has to realize how poor the team is, that they belong down with the Edmonton's and Montreal's of the league instead of the position they have now which has been correctly noted by others as entirely down to luck.

I don't agree that Nieuwendyk is blameless however. Last I checked Dallas was spending over 50 million dollars on their team. I can't think of a less impressive way to spend 50 million dollars at the moment.

Maybe the Pittsburgh Pirates.

I'm just sitting here laughing watching Robidas and Souray try to defend. They look 80 years old.

Larsen's backwards crossover technique is amazing. He can cover so much ground laterally.

well, Souray is, isn't he? He was a pylon when he played for Montreal 10 years ago, and that was in his heyday.

too much standing around out here, you'd think the players put in a full 8 hour day of work before this thing started.

Oh wait, no. That's the fans who are spending their hard earned money to watch this garbage.

Don't blame you for leaving lobo.

hopefully.... we have one of the 10 oldest teams in the league and the 2nd lowest payroll, the least they could do is get us a decent pick...

I really miss Stars playoff hockey but if us tanking before the trade deadline get's some moves made then I'm actually happy were losing. I don't want to be right on the bubble again because we know Joe will be scared to do anything if were sitting a couple points out of 8th.

****ing make Ralph Strangis GM and Darryl Reaugh the head coach.

I mean why not, it's not like you could do any worse.

***and yeah we almost definetely will be "in the playoff race" because the cold truth is that THE TEAMS AROUND US IN THE STANDINGS ARE ****ING GARBAGE. NONE OF THEM ARE ANY GOOD AT ALL.

it makes me ****ing sick to think that any sort of consistent effort from the boys and we'd have a playoff spot sewn up by the end of the month. The conference is a disgrace this year and yet we're going to find our way to the bottom yet again while a team like Calgary gets in.

I'm happy that Mike Smith has found success in a starting role of his own.

I wasn't implying he was blameless, though perhaps you're attributing that to someone else.

On the contrary, I put more blame on Nieuwy's shoulders than on any other member of this team.

What an embarrassment tonight.

That third period was not competitive. It's time to use ice time as a weapon. If players don't feel like competing, bench them, scratch them, or kick them down the lineup.

Robidas and Souray should be traded or waived. Make an example of those terrible vets. Don't let either guy board the plane to Buffalo.
