Primary Target

Troy Brouwer, acquired by the Caps during the offseason from the Blackhawks. He is one of the few former Hawks that is not currently wearing a Panther sweater. For this, he must pay for his crimes, while Tallon fawns all over him. Also he's doing quite well for himself, thank you very much.

Red Hot Cat Of The Night

Mikael Samuelsson has 5 points in his last 4 games.

There are 31 can't afford to lose games.

If we lose 13 of these can't afford to lose games, we are in the playoffs.

Not Saying we don't need to win, just trying to de-stress us all.

Indeed a must win, although this match-up is going to be a lot tougher to win than the last one being that it's on the road, Ovechkin is in the lineup, and the Caps will be hungry to win after losing in Boston yesterday.

I think Clemmer has been confirmed as starting. The team needs to work on defensive play by the forwards and not turning the puck over. Secondary scoring also needs to pick up.

We can't get comfortable with winning two big games in a row, and not show up like we did against Tampa. We have to be hungry for the W. The boys need to get the message in their heads. The playoffs have already started for us. Its like one big round-robin at this point.

These games remaining against WAS & WIN are extra meaningful. These are the teams we are in a dogfight with, need to win.

I expect Clemmer to be better tomorrow. Not saying he was bad against TBay, but there was at least one or two he could of had. And I fully expect our forwards to come out flying, espically the first line. Looking forward to Weiss's game of the year so far tomorrow night. I'm sure he is fully aware his efforts (or lack thereof) definitley contributed to the Tampa L.

All that being said, unfortuantley I won't be watching the game. I have my own hockey (again damn these Tues games! ) but I may try and catch the first. Hoping we light Vokoun up like a cheap cigar!

Lets go Cats!

Just some random fat guy as far as I know. The way he's eating the ice cream reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where George was caught on camera eating ice cream like a pig at a tennis match.

I hadn't watched an episode of Seinfeld in like 2 years, and then started again this year watching after working late shifts at work. Forgot how much that show makes me laugh. Kramer is one-of-a-kind!!!

Site on confirmation? My last reading was he's on plane and will practice tommorow and see how he is. I could be wrong, just ask my wife.

Agree with the rest of your post. Would add clemmer has to be better as in previous starts for us to win. ( not intimating Tampa was his fault,he just wasn't the hero that kept us init despite ourselves.)

yea, id have to guess well lose this game, im sure well get vokoun, clemmy is being overworked cause were a one goalie team for now, its in washington, they just had a tough loss against us. if we lose its no big deal, if we win its gravy. i just want the team to play tough and be in the whole game.

I want the 2 points.

Caps, again, missing their best D man and best center. OV is back but Brooks Laich is injured, leaving them rather thin at the center position.

We can do it. Just gotta play our game.

Interesting to see if the team comes out wanting it or not. I feel like the Caps are the odds on favourite to win this one, but like it was said, if we play our game and do it for 50-60 minutes, we have a great shot at getting 2 points on way or another.

from Harvey:

On the bright side, goaltenders Jacob Markstrom and Jose Theodore continue to skate and strengthen their wounded knees. Theodore traveled to D.C. with the team and may play, depending on how he fares in morning skate tomorrow. Most likely, Scott Clemmensen will get another start, this time against former teammate Tomas Vokoun, who he backed up the last two seasons.

looks like we will know after the AM practice...but why fly theo for a one game road trip if hes not likely to play?? hmmmm.
