Visnovsky has a NMC (not sure if it's limited or not) and has stated numerous times he doesn't want to leave the area. He's an older guy and probably isn't too interested in leaving his family. He's not coming here.
Robidas, Zidlicky, Oduya, Leopold, Pitkanen. If it's not one of them, it's probably nothing. None of these guys would cost too much, I think.
More i think about it, Zids probably has some pretty low value right now. I wouldn't mind buying low on Zidlicky.

Zidlicky called out Mike Yeo the coach and they are in a heated situation. We could get him for dirt cheap but he's been pretty terrible and is signed next season to at $4mill.
I don't think I would do that. We need to keep all our centres as insurance against Elias declining, Zajac leaving or never being the same, Henrique being a flash in the pan, and Josefson having injury trouble. They're all insurance for each other, if that makes sense.

In the summer, I wouldn't mind that. But right now we have nowhere to put him.

He would be an expensive reclamation project, and I don't think Lou takes too kindly to disgruntled players who call out their coach.
They have us in on Bernier too, I guess they're assuming that we're looking for a goalie.
I have a feeling half of the reason the Devils would be on any of those guys is what people "think" the Devils would/should do, as opposed to what they're likely trying to do. While I have a feeling the team is high on Wedgewood, I'm sure they're interested in adding a goalie. But one of those guys at the deadline... I just don't see it. Those guys seem like an off-season type of acquisition for us. Besides, look at the goalies they're mentioning. Pretty clear (to me at least) they're trying to say the Devils "should" be trading Parise at the deadline, which would just be dumb obviously.

Same thing I've been thinking. How many 3rd/4th line forwards do we need to try to throw at the spots, or bottom pairing D-men. No point in making a move for something that isn't an upgrade, and we're not terrible at the areas we normally make a deadline move to improve upon. Only thing that seems to make sense to me is a home run acquisition, or more or less status quo (yes, I use every advantage to say that )

Honestly, you could say anything you want in the space before the bolded part. When you close out on that line though, I'm pretty damn inclined to get out of my chair and support the hell out of whatever you're saying. Well done.
I don't want to add any more goalies (in the pros and under contract, that is) to the system unless one or both of Marty and Hedberg leave this summer.
I really, really want Wedgewood to get some serious playing time in the AHL next season.
No keeper is coming in to help out this season, so no need trade for one unless he's part of bigger trade. PMDs are going to be expensive contract wise and want you need to give up to get him. Besides the Philthy game, Foster hasn't really been that O/PP spark he needs to be so whatever, get another guy that helps stops the puck from going in.
Visnovsky would be great, as I've seen quite a bit of him out here in Anaheim, but I think the price would be too high for a 35 year old. Same with Bernier/Lindback price-wise. If Lou wants a goalie, he should try to do it after the season is over (or maybe at the Draft or in a deal for the rights to Parise if he can't be re-signed), not the trade deadline, imo.

Foster has been great on our PP. He creates chances, and his shot prevents teams from shadowing Kovy.
Foster can go weeks without recording a single point and still be helping our PP tremendously.
That being said, he is awful defensively. He needs to be a 4th line winger used as a PP specialist. I hold my breath every time he's out there for 5v5 minutes.
After we give up goals, I like to play a game called "how far out of position is Kurtis Foster?" Really the only time he's in position is when he's sitting on the bench. Otherwise, he's napping somewhere on the ice.
I don't see us adding forward depth or a goalie before the end of the season if we don't add a D-man.
Without a d-man, what's the point of forward depth? Furthermore I think we could do with call-ups from the A for some depth, honestly.

Or on a much scarier note maybe Lou truly does feel good with the D. Dunno why he would but i cant believe we would be chasing down forwards so much and not hear our name mentioned once for any Dman.
