Oh for sure. I wasn't saying Sutton should be in before Gilbert or anything. Next to Smid Gilbert has been our best dman this year. Although I still would have liked to see Sutton in the lineup. He has been playing great for us lately. Actually all season. I wouldn't be disappointed if he was re-signed here to be honest.

And yet he was instrumental with bad positioning for one of the goals against and has no points and didnt contribute to the goals for, just happened to be on the ice.

He's made some good plays, but just looking at the stat sheet and saying he's a +2 doesnt mean much.... Thats why scouts are there in the first place...

Nope, Schenn was in position for that goal against. Gardiner and Armstrong weren't.

As for the scouts, its probably due dillegence. Both teams have pieces teams would be interested in but it doesn't indicate there is an imminent trade or anything and its a scouts job to scout other teams.

Lombardi's really standing out, perhaps the leafs might actually get rid of that contract

He's played well and produced since he came back from the injury. Earlier in the season, he was brutal but he seems to be getting his game back.

If Edmonton moves Gagner, whats their long term option for 2nd line centre? Just keep going with Horcoff?

I hope [insert favourite team] is taking a good look at [some guy from one of teams playing].

I therefore propose [crummy players from favourite team] and will charitably add in a [2/3rd round pick] for [some guy from one of teams playing]

I hope the scouts weren't there to watch Hemsky. He had 0 points and was a -4.

Hemsky's trade value just went from a 2nd rnd pick to a 4th!...just kidding oils fans, but he sure didn't look good. I don't watch a lot of oilers games but caught 2 recently and he just doesn't look like anything i would want on my team.

I don't know if the Flyers are a match.

If Burke trades Schenn, it'll be for a centerman, no doubt - they currently have one reliable top 6 centerman (Grabovski). Schenn is their most valuable trading chip. Unless Brayden is going back, I don't think it makes sense for TOR.

Unless Burke is THAT big of a JVR fan - but if a JVR -> Toronto trade occurred, I doubt it would happen until the offseason with JVR's injury problems this year.

1. CLB - Yakupov (will probably deal Nash for another top 5 pick at the draft +)
2. ANA - Grigorenko (absolutly unfair already loaded with RPG & add another weapon)
3. CAR - Ryan Murray
4. MTL - Galchenyuk (they take the risk, desperately need a big #1 C)
5. EDM - Dumba

Well with only 3 games tonight and one of the games being Phoenix and Detroit who have a better to decent chance to make the playoffs there's really only two games to take a close look at and even Anaheim's game the players would cost a whole lot and have been looked at pretty extensively already I'd assume. I honestly think these people are scouting Sam Ganger the most. I mean scoring 12 points in 3 games just doesn't come out of nowhere so I think they are really looking at him now since 33 points is a whole lot better than 21 was 3 games ago.

If Couterier was coming back it would make sense for Toronto. Although I really doubt theyd do that.

Flyers' management loves Couturier.

No chance they move him.

Doubt they move Schenn, either - I don't see the teams as good trading partners.

I think Schenn to Buffalo or Columbus for one of their centers+ could be an interesting move.
