The ridiculousness on this board is...ridiculous. Goalie gets a SHUTOUT, but could have done more. At some point, you expect the offense to maybe, oh, I don't know, score? Some people just want to hate Bryz.

This thread has absolutely become pathetic.. Like benny Flyers said it's time to close the curtains on here for awhile. No wonder we ruin every goalie that come through here.

OH MY GOD!

A goalie would have to make all three (3!) saves in a shootout???

That's clearly way too much to ask from our $51 million goalie once in a while.

That bolded comment is hilarious.

In case you havent noticed, the NHL is extremely competitive, and shootouts are an often occurrence. 65 minutes inst enough in some cases to win hockey games
Actually let me take that back. I don't mean that it shouldn't be practiced at all, but more important practice time shouldn't be taken away to focus on the shootout. Then again I'm sure these guys could probably take an extra 30 minutes a day to work on this.

Either way, I'm sick of everyone blaming Bryz for every single loss. He's definitely not the only factor in this slump and too many people are acting like he is.

Our goalies need to watch tape of last night's anaheim SO and tonight's Mtl-Pitt SO. Two goalies making saves to keep their teams in it.

We all have 4 choices here:
•Nabby won the game
•The Islanders' shooters won the game
•Bryz lost the game
•The Flyers' shooters lost the game

They are all true, we are just focusing on specific ones

This is EXACTLY the mentality that a lot are taking to hide the fact that Bryz is s hitting the bed.

Ya he is one of MANY problems, but guess what? We didnt pay him to be consistent problem all year long.

We paid him to be a top notch goalie, which he hasn't in any respect.

Bryz is a major problem, and its good goalies who, when their team is a funk, bail them out. Bryz has yet to do this

I've never heard more complaining about a team THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE REBUILDING 4 points out of first place.

So everyone wants to pile up on the few guys actually blaming bryz for this one.

My point that bryz is consistently outplayed by the other goalie has gone ignored. Is that because there's no way to refute that?

Those two are the biggest reason but were still complaining about Bryz for some reason

Even with how great Nabokov was tonight there were still several shots that should have been buried.

BINGO!

Bryz has been one of many problems all year long. Yet he, like tonight, wasn't the only problem

So apparently that means he doesnt deserve any blame because he made a whole 18 saves in regulation and zero in the shootout.

Our goalie got a shutout and is getting blamed for a loss. Read that out loud, take a deep breath, then go back and read some of the posts in here. If you still say he is to blame for this loss, then we ignore each other and move on.

While I agree with this, I think for me the main point of concern is that our divisional rivals are getting stronger while we just lost three in a row to those said rivals. Atlantic (and the East for that matter) is getting tighter and if we continue on these trends, we'll be scrapping and clawing our way into the playoffs.

He certainly deserves some blame for the loss.

But this is the idea of Flyers fans on here....

"Bryz wasn't the only problem tonight so as soon as someone blames him, I will blame someone else and say that they were at fault too."

Clearly a defence mechanism to hide the fact that Bryz has not been what we thought

Oh well...frustrating game to say the least no matter who's fault it was.

They really need to get it together before this turns in to a big losing streak. I really cant stand seeing them lose to the Rangers again on Saturday.
