Rick Nash

http://www.rotoworld.com/content/pla...=153682&spln=1

I've heard rumblings of the Blue Jackets possibly trading him. Is there any way that he makes sense on the Blues? I heard guys on the radio saying he's the answer to the Blues scoring woes.

He's a 7.8 million cap hit for the next 6 years. That's not including this year. He has 34 points through 52 games played and is a -21. That would put him 2nd on the Blues currently behind Backes for points.

Backes by the way is a 4.5 million cap hit for the next 4 years.

I get that Nash plays on a bad team at the moment and that will skew his stats some. But, facts are facts.

Through 644 games played Nash has tallied 522 points. So a clip of .81/game.

Yeah he'd be a nice addition to the Blues. But at that price? Not to mention what you would have to give up in return.

To me there is 0% chance of Nash being a Blue.

Pipe dream from the looks of it.

But he'd be perfect for this team, especially on a line with Oshie and Perron (IMO).

Not happening. What radio guys?

Nash is a good player, but his actual value to a team doesn't compare to his gigantic salary. The Blues want no part of that.

He would be a great fit because he has scored at least 30 goals in 6 of 8 NHL seasons, with those 2 being his rookie season and a season with 27 goals. He has hit the 40 mark twice with a season of 38 and a season with a pace of 47 goals to go along with those as well. He would be a great fit, especially to be with Hitch again, but his salary won't allow a deal to happen.

I don't see any way Columbus wouldn't ask for Oshie in return. We would have to give up way too much that it would just **** us over for years IMO. Plus we can't even afford Nash.

I don't want that contract. Not really a fan of Nash.

Now Carter would interest me depending on the price

Carter makes between 6 and 7 million a year for the next several years and isn't as good as Backes is. I don't think the Blues can handle that, either.

for the price nash is way over priced. In a perfect society the blues would have Nash, Backes, and Brown on the top line. Nobody would want to **** with that line. I don't ever see that happening though.

Not interested in Nash whatsoever. I enjoy watching Oshie plow him over way too much to ever want him on my team. Besides Columbus wouldn't want to trade him to a division rival, and I don't blame them. Doesn't make sense for either side.

If Blues lost Stewart and Carlo, they could easily afford Nash. But the problem is, why would Columbus want Stewart. They need to add picks and youth with upside cheaply.
