Does Seguin play for the Oilers? Pulling players out of your ass doesn't help your argument.

If the Leafs miss the playoffs (which they won't) what difference does it make in comparison to the Oilers?

The Leafs are still a younger, better team.

Just posted a couple of seconds ago.

RNH will be assessed tomorrow, it was precautionary to pull him out tonight as per Krueger.

Whitney and Barker and Gilbert all got exposed for not being in midseason form today I think

The RNH injury sucks, i REALLY hope that he's not just another injury prone player for us.
It's pretty safe to declare that he is, at least at this level. There's NO WAY that he should get hurt off a hit like that if the shoulder is holding steady.

Does a younger and better version of the Oilers mean anything to you?

The Leafs didn't have to finish in the Lottery multiple years in a row to get where they are at and they are in a better place than the Oilers.
A GM actually did his job unlike what we had to witness here.

They are younger because they don't have guys like Smyth, Horcoff, Khabby, Sutton, etc.

Our best players are 21 years old or younger, with some still teenagers, while their best players are in the 23-29 range, so not surprising they are better.

I still take Hall, RNH, and Eberle over any single player on their team, so we can't be doing that bad going forward.

Need A LOOOT of help on defense, secondary scoring, and better bottom 6 players.

Isn't that kind of an unfair assessment if the shoulder wasn't ready in the first place?

Can't argue about that but there is a such thing as being too aggressive too.

Also I'm pretty sure Burke did not draft Reimer.

Any word about the extent of RNH's injury?

That's the Leafs' 4th penalty-free game in the last 14.

In that span, here's their Times Short-Handed.

0 TSH: 4 games.
1 TSH: 5 games.
2 TSH: 3 games.
3 TSH: 2 games.

4+TSH (i.e. what their avg. was before this string): 0 games.

I've never seen it this obvious.

You keep calling them younger which is very misleading. Our impact players are younger than their impact players. We just have a few late 30s in Smyth, Khabby, and Sutton which increases our average.

No doubt they are better than us right now though.

They still won't make the playoff though.

If the Leafs miss the playoffs then it'll be seven years and counting; eight if you count the lockout. Their position in the standings has looked better than ours year to year but it means very little when you're in a drought like that.

I'd say that they have a 50/50 chance of making it this year depending on how they're playing over the final week of the season... because it's going to go down to the wire.

They also play in a pansy conference with such powerhouses like the Islanders, Panthers (for many years), Hurricanes, Canadiens...

If the Leafs were in the West there's no way they would be in a playoff spot.

Did you honestly just say that it is SAFE to say that he's already inury prone?

Really? It was freak play and he clearly played before he was ready.

We must have a serious differing opinion on the definition of injury-prone.

Would you take Grabovski over Gagner? I sure as hell wouldn't. RNH and Gagner +our 2012 pick which could be Grigorenko if Gagner doesn't work out. That is good top 2 center depth.

So many closet Leafs fans in it's embarrassing.
