Looking back at it, I think Hank gets us two points vs. the Debbies, but I don't think Biron pitches a shutout vs. the Sabres.
At some point, we're gonna want Lundqvist to start on back-to-back nights. He hasn't done it all year, and he'll certainly need to do it in the playoffs. I thought last week (following the All-Star break) was the time to do it.

There aren't a lot of b2b in the PO's though. I'm sure he can handle it though,
Who knows. He had a nasty Achilles injury and has missed most of the season, came back for 7 or 8 games and was playing well, then reaggravated it.
It was supposedly a "minor setback", but as per usual Devil behaviour Lou has apparently put him in the witness relocation program, he's on IR and I dont even think he's skating. Huge loss.
Achilles injuries are apparently a huge pain to heal. Hopefully they didn't rush him back, but this is sports, it happens. Wonder if they'll just rest him for the playoffs

Dunno, but the Devils arent deep enough at center to be without their #1 center for the entire year, IMO it's the gorilla in the room. He needs to get healthy.
Expecting an early scrap. I'm looking for Torts to try to pick up a HOT start, where the Devils are usually strong. It's later in the game, when that top line they ride so hard begins to tire that they look a bit weaker.

Just thinking that they're doing pretty well without him, so they might think they can get into the playoffs and then get a big boost from a healthy Zajac

Henrique looked really good with Kovy and Parise. Is he really on the third line today, or is he getting put back with those two?

You guys got a real steal in the draft for him.
Yes, he came back from injury Sunday so they put him on the 3rd line since the first 2 lines were scoring so much when he was out.
Funny thing though, the new 3rd line with Poni (recent trade) and Bernier (injured most of year) has been giving teams fits. So I think it makes sense to try Henrique there, because if it works, the Devils would have 3 legitimate scoring lines.

Perhaps. Hank made some amazing saves against the Sabres.
But then again, had Marty not come down with the flu and missed his start right before the ASG break, you would have had Hank in the net against NJ and Marty facing the Sabres.
Funny how these unexpected twists of fate sometimes work out. Beginning to think that this is a good omen for the season.
I can't support this at all. I want to see both those teams (NJ and NYI) rot away. I want their fans to be crushed. I want them to feel heartache and misery. We can have rivalries with Philly and Boston, as we have in the past.
Agreed, I really don't see the need for 3 NY teams. Most of the market in NY is loyal to the Rangers, and a good percentage of NJ is split between NY and PHI.
