Yeah, if he didn't want the pressure of Toronto I don't see why he'd want it in Montreal.

Although everyone knows if you're winning MTL is the best place in the world.

Do you think maybe Burke put in a pitch for Nash.
Something like Schenn, Kadri, something something for him.

It would probably cost an arm and 2 legs to get him from Columbus so that wouldn't be a bad thing..

And it's no big deal, I'd rather go after Carter

So apparently Nash has been traded to LA for Bernier, Penner, Hunter and a pick.

Absolutely brutal deal for Columbus is it's true...

Can someone tell me why Columbus has pretty much always been terrible, despite finishing near the bottom of the ship every single year?

What are the odds that our beloved habs make a profit from ONE year of finishing in the basement?

Carter would most likely cost less than Nash too.. You can be sure CBJ would be asking for both Pacioretty and PK to be included along with other assets from the Habs for Nash..

I doubt that's true.. Terrible deal for CBJ.. Howson should be fired immediately if he pulls that Mike Milbury type trade.

I agree that is no return at all except maybe Bernier.

First off, it's Eklund. Secondly, if and once this proves to be NOT true, the mods should ban (lol) together and say enough is enough with allowing craptactular Eklund threads to continue.

Colombus knows they'll be getting Yakupov who is pretty much expected to be a better player than Rick Nash and they pretty much solidify their future in goaltending with Bernier who is ready to take over.

CLB should get Bernier and Johnson for Nash if LA is the targeted partner. Anything other than that, they should be shopping elsewhere.

That is Malkin territory. Way too much for Nash. Patches is having a better year at 6 million less.

highly unlikely, Eklund is the only one reporting it. I know McKenzie Deger and co have better sources than him.

If true which I highly doubt the Cammy, Bourque trade by Goat will be long forgotten.
They are going to some pissed off GMs if this deal is done already.

People forget that Nash also has a say in where he's going. The return won't be great once he does get dealt.

1. Go to Google

2. Type 'Columbus Draft History'

3. Look at players drafted

Bad first rounders, little to no help from other rounds. Terrible scouting is the best way to get into the gutter and stay there.

2009 and 2010 look pretty good so far, but it's too soon for those guys to be a big part of the team.
