Leblanc - Eller - Hamill
UFA - White - Stewart

Markov - Emelin
Gorges - Subban
Kaberle - UFA

Price
Budaj

Trade Moen, Kostitsyn, Gill, Campoli and Weber for prospects and picks.

Draft Grigorenko and let him develop into the top line centre of the future.

Win the cup within 5 years!!!
****in nice, another 5 year plan, don't think all habs fans will be waiting that long for a cup, may find other sports teams to watch. 19 and 5 =24yrs of waiting....no thanks

My bad--the Blue Jackets claimed Colton Gillies not Teubert. Mixed up the Coltons.

For a 20 game audition for next year's 4th line, the Habs could do worse then Murray, IMO.

He's probably the better 4th liner though.

But he would be worth a waiver move to replace Moen when he is traded. If he doesn't pan out, we can give him an unconditional release in the offseason.

Don't particularly want either Stewart or Hamill.

Meh I'm indifferent. Whether they pick them up or not, it won't make a huge difference other than having a new face in the lineup. I won't lose sleep if they pass on them.

Again I say take JF Jacques and try him - at worst he gives the AHL Bulldogs a very solid player 22 points in 33 games. At best he provides the Habs with a Québécois born hard nosed 4th liner with potential to score 5-7 goals and be a good role player.

Grab Stewart off waivers as
well. Buy out Gomez in the off season, sign some UFAs in the off season, draft the BPA in all rounds.

Guys I would target would be Parise (no brainer), Oli Jokinen (big center), Konopka (4th line center, great penalty killer), David Moss (consistent right winger).

On defense - I'd try to get Jim Vandermeer or Johnny Boychuk.

Assuming we could sign a couple of those UFAs, lines would look like this:
Pacioretty - Desharnais -Cole
Bourque - Plekanec - Moss
Gionta - Eller - Leblanc
Jacques - Konopka - White

On defense:
Gorges - Subban
Markov - Emelin
Kaberle - Boychuk
Diaz - Vandermeer

Now that both have cleared, we can discuss how not smart Gauthier is in one of the dozens of other topics devoted to such...
