Thanks. He must really want a degree. I'd imagine the interest would be pretty high.

- Dietz is out, team was eliminated. Pretty surprising to see that domination though, 4-0 and they weren't that far one from the other.

- Gallagher and his Giants are having a tough time, series tied 2 -2.

- Archambault should be out tonight.

- The rest are doing fine so far.

Kristo said this in the interview at Le Journal de Montréal « Pour arriver à mon objectif le plus rapidement possible, j’écouterai les conseils du Canadien », a ajouté l’Américain.

He will listen to the Habs to get to his objective to play in the NHL sooner. If it doesn't mean that he's signing, the Habs are more stupid than I thought. Which they won't be. He's signing.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed college free agent J.T. Brown to a two-year contract.
"He has all the top characteristics we look for in a player, including high skill and compete levels," GM Steve Yzerman said. "We're glad he chose to play for the Lightning and we look forward to getting him in the lineup as quickly as possible." Brown notched 24 goals and added 23 assists in 39 games for the University of Minnesota-Duluth during his sophomore season in 2011-12. He is expected to join the Lightning later this week and will probably get into a game before the season ends.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed college free agent Spencer Abbott.
The 23-year-old broke out offensively in his fourth year with the University of Maine in 2011-12 with 21 goals and 41 assists in 39 games to lead the nation in scoring. He was among the 15 finalists listed for the 2012 Hobey Baker award and was named Hockey East's Player of the Year. Abbott will join the AHL's Toronto Marlies on an amateur tryout for the remainder of the year.

Like I said, none of the top NCAA fa's will be signed by us. Disappointing.

Oh please. The Habs put themselves in this spot and it wasn't because of Staubitz. Did we have to take Slaney in the Gill deal, a career ECHLer? The Habs should of had one or two spots open before, so they can pick up a waiver player, or sign a FA. Management blew it, again

There are 30 teams in the NHL, some of you think we should just sign everybody and think nobody else can.

We have 3 NCAA kids on ATO's in Hamilton, if they do well maybe they'll earn contracts for next year.

Our track record with amateur FA's is pretty good...Desharnais Diaz Engqvist Nash Trotter Danis St.Denis.

Both of them are small skilled players are they not? I thought people around here wanted to get bigger?

None of those top NCAA free agent signings amount to much. Matt Read, Bozak and Gilroy seem to be the best of the bunch.

For every 10 NCAA FA, one becomes a solid NHLer.

If he wants to have fun with his friends instead of making step forward to become professional hockey player. I have my doubt he will ever pan out.
Who knows what the return would be but whatever it is it could end up being another case of a skilled propsect/young player that we give up on and they excell on another team. Personally for me it's getting really old repeating the same mistakes, and trading Kristo imo would be another mistake.

Did people get upset when Pateryn opted not to turn pro last summer, only to sign a year later? I don't see the reason to get upset if Kristo opts to return to ND, but it makes even less sense to trade him if he wants to get his degree.

There are much better options then Rawlings and Dell imo. We'll see if the Habs go for any of them though. I hope it's Doug Carr if he is willing to turn pro.

I'd like to see him work on his consistency, he can dominate a game but I'd like to see him be a little more consistent in his efforts. The rumor I had heard was that most of the team that can leave, wants to return because they think they can win a National Title. Guess we'll see if that's the case or not. At least he's at a great program with a very good coach.

Should we stop drafting in the 7th round and trying to find those guys? Just forfeit all our picks?

NCAA FAs cost nothing but a contract slot. If you have room for them, you should go after the real good ones.

I have no problem going after the berst NCAA FA's but expecting for us to get them all is stupid.

This year the best one is staying in school.

I don't expect us to get them all, but we handicapped ourselves and are not even a real contender for the best guys because of the 50 contract limit.

We are limited to the 2nd tier skaters now (we could still go for a goalie because most goalies don't get the one game tryout).

Ottawa let DaCosta play a game last year, same with Wellman in Minnesota.

Boston is going to put Krug into a game before the end of the season, same with Tampa and JT Brown. This is a major factor in attracting these guys.

Can't we do an ATO? I can't see that being the be all and end all.
