Good for now, and he's earned himself some more time playing with the Sedins I guess.

Hopefully he can be consistent going down the stretch. At the very least, he creates some competition with players like Weise which is always a good thing.

He's just chanelling Rome's early season offensive form.

used to watch Bitz when he played on the Nanaimo Clippers. I know it's only the BCHL and was nearly 10 years ago, but Bitz was one of the top snipers on the Clippers that year, scoring 73 points in 58 games. He has a decent scoring touch around the net and may very well prove to be a strong linemate for the Sedins with his big body and right handed shot.

We should have a quote compilation in this thread for the HF boards experts who were good enough, but just didn't make it as NHL coaches not just doubting, but PISSED OFF AV would ever DARE to put Bitz with the Sedins.

In one period no matter what Bitz does for the rest of the season, AV wins again and again makes his detractors (who often don't really have much to bring to the argument than "they just don't like him") eat crow again.

Let's just say it's working out better than the John Scott experiment with Toews and Kane.

He doesn't really hit... He's thrown 1 hit in 2 games. I guess it's 1 more than Weise but hardly the self proclaimed "gritty and physical" style we need

Gonna go with no.

The Sedin's can make anyone score for a little bit.

He'll have his hot streak and then fall back to earth in a couple of games. Hot streaks never last. Good fourth line forward who is big and physical though.
