Good game tonight. We got a couple of fortunate bounces to tie the game, but thought the 3rd and OT was as entertaining as one could hope for. I still don't think we can take you down in a 7 game series, might could hope for 4 wins if we play 10 times.
I still think a series would go much like last years playoffs with the Preds coming up a little short, but not sure adding one elite offensive player would really help us much given our system.
The positive that we can take from this game is that we got the chance to put in an actual effort and it looked like we were playing hard for the most part. We still need a lot of work in the defensive side of our game as we couldn't clear the puck to save our lives. But I'm not as dissapointrd with this loss as our last few. Think we can come out with a bit of positivity.
Lu also looks to be quite stellar in the shootout. But our players are coming out with some timely goals(shootout too)
byron bitz the playmaker?!?!! genius a.v hehehe. hope hank is okay. took a shot of the foot. guess with no more than 1 pp a game or sometimes never, nucks will have to always find another way to win the game via ot or shootout.
Odd thing is, the Ducks were accusing the Preds of that in their series last season.
Yeah they did. They were calling out Tootoo the entire time which isn't surprising. Then, they used a blatant dive by Smithson to further support the notion that Nashville is full of those kinds of players. To top it off they brought up a video of (I believe) Spaling being taken down, though as far as I'm concerned it wasn't a dive at all (and if you didn't notice a theme in this post, I am more than willing to call out our players for blatant diving. I hate when players embellish)
Anyway, I thought tonight was a pretty good game. Thought the Preds were going to finally play a bad game and not have Rinne to bail them out after such a long streak of good hockey and/or insane goaltending. It's odd to have a real offense, though, so a lot of us old school Preds fans give up pretty quickly
Glad no one got (seriously) injured. I bet Sedin has a pretty bruise tomorrow morning, though.
