Odd thing is, the Ducks were accusing the Preds of that in their series last season.

Anyone else noticing the refs don't call any penalties against the teams we play? I am, and hating it.

And a subsequent lack of calls being made in our favor.

We just can't win.

Yeah I actually looked for it on it about the first 15 games of the season and teams were out diving us by quite a margin so I gave up looking

Anyone notice a drastic drop in PP chances?

Might as well dive, embellish, whine, throw a tantrum on the ice... Seems to be the only way to get a call.

Good game tonight. We got a couple of fortunate bounces to tie the game, but thought the 3rd and OT was as entertaining as one could hope for. I still don't think we can take you down in a 7 game series, might could hope for 4 wins if we play 10 times.

I still think a series would go much like last years playoffs with the Preds coming up a little short, but not sure adding one elite offensive player would really help us much given our system.

Oh well, we'll see you next game.

The positive that we can take from this game is that we got the chance to put in an actual effort and it looked like we were playing hard for the most part. We still need a lot of work in the defensive side of our game as we couldn't clear the puck to save our lives. But I'm not as dissapointrd with this loss as our last few. Think we can come out with a bit of positivity.

Lu also looks to be quite stellar in the shootout. But our players are coming out with some timely goals(shootout too)

Not to mention 2 posts!

Witch is 9-1.

I know that, but he came back and looked fine to me. I missed the rest of the game afterwards, but he looked fine, and than I saw him get 2 assists, so he must've been good enough to play still.

Yup and I like it, its forcing us to play better 5 on 5 which can only help us in the playoffs.

So as we don't rely on getting calls to win games.

Exactly. The prevalence of diving has to do with the officiating backing off from the post-lockout crackdown. If the referees would call the penalties, there would be no need to dive or embellish.

Yeah they did. They were calling out Tootoo the entire time which isn't surprising. Then, they used a blatant dive by Smithson to further support the notion that Nashville is full of those kinds of players. To top it off they brought up a video of (I believe) Spaling being taken down, though as far as I'm concerned it wasn't a dive at all (and if you didn't notice a theme in this post, I am more than willing to call out our players for blatant diving. I hate when players embellish)

Anyway, I thought tonight was a pretty good game. Thought the Preds were going to finally play a bad game and not have Rinne to bail them out after such a long streak of good hockey and/or insane goaltending. It's odd to have a real offense, though, so a lot of us old school Preds fans give up pretty quickly

Glad no one got (seriously) injured. I bet Sedin has a pretty bruise tomorrow morning, though.

The Canucks are saving their best diving and embellishing for the Saturday night games.

If this is us sucking crap, I'm happy.

Luongo looks ready to carry a team on his back even more than last year. Bring it on, post season.
