Man...I can't recall the last time we had a game that exciting against Nashville of all teams. The second, third, OT and the shootout were flipping amazing hockey to watch. What a game.

Luongo rebounded from a stinky game-tying goal to really keep the team in it. That leg save while the Canucks were shorthanded was astounding, and he was great in the shootout once again. That's going to take some getting-used to.

Byron Bitz with a pretty damn solid game. I was more impressed with his behind-the-back pass to Daniel on the 3rd goal than I was with his own, actually - showed nice hands. But there were other times where he looked a bit fatigued; to be expected when he's playing his first few NHL games in years, and this was a fast-paced game. (again...surprising)

Still not the greatest effort from the team, but I think this was a marked improvement. Nice to see Henrik get a multi-point game, especially after returning from that scary shot block early in the game. Yikes.

Burrows is money in the shootout...couldn't believe it when Daniel and Hodgson hit back to back posts. But thankfully, Edler and Luongo saved the day!

That game was amazing.

We are killing it on the road this year.

18-9-1.

Hope we can keep that up for the playoffs in addition to how we play at home in the playoffs.

I mentioned this in a separate thread but...

Of all the line movements, I was hoping AV would move Cody up with Kesler and either Burr/D.Sedin or Booth. Just to see what'd it be like to have Cody dish some stuff to Kes for a change and see the rookie's movement on the second pairing. With both Manny and Lappy we our weird slump/win streak AV should feel free to experiment in the games like this.

Nashville reminds me of the 2000 st. Louis blues with Pronger, macinnis, tkachuk, demitra... Very similar team except they have goaltending in rinne.

Wonder if Daniel will get more shootout attempts after today's attempt. Of course, hopefully it never gets that far and we just win in regulation.

I can finally watch this and feel excited again. Our slump still puts us on pace for an incredible season.

I knew Daniel's shootout attempt today looked familiar... his starts at 11:30.

Hit the post exactly the same way, it even sounded similar, and bounced out the same too.

Who do we get in return that improves the team?

I didn't catch the game. Were the Canucks outplayed or was it pretty much even throughout the game?

Games in Nashville have become awesome to watch because of their amazing crowd. Rogers hasn't had anywhere near the same atmosphere this season.

Not sure what else he can do; we've won several this year, Luongo has markedly improved, and we hit 2 posts tonight.

How many OT games is that for us in a row now? Four?

EDIT: And I agree with Hollywood Burrows on the "Smashville Crowd" factor. Phenomenal group in that building, felt like a playoff atmosphere.

Sorry for being an annoying ***** earlier.

Anyway really nice game out there wish we could have put it away for 2 points but its hard to argue with getting points against the one of the best teams in the conference.

Had to drop someone off at the airport after the game. Should be up in a few minutes.
