What do you guys think of my 2 Cabrera deals yesterday?

1 year Roto league:

Cabrera and Ichiro for Pujols and Lawrie

Keeper league:

Pitching seems very important (Counts R, singles, doubles, triples, HR, RBI, AVG, SB, OBP, OPS, K, Walks for hitters and IP, W, CG, SHO, ERA, WHIP, HR allowed, walks allowed, GIDP, Saves, K's and K/9 IP)

So I dealt Cabrera for Verlander, Valverde and Carlos Lee (needed a 1B back as I don't have a backup)

Thoughts?

Last time Pirates pitcher won 7 games in a row was in 1974.

Who would you guys rather have as a keeper. Cliff Lee or Felix Hernandez?

Thanks. Thats what I thought. Think he will rebound? He's been subpar the past couple of years, though I think he was strong to start the year. What about him or Dan Haren? Im guessing Felix pretty easily there, too, as Haren has been awful this year and his best seasons don't match up to Felix.

The only reason I ask is because someone said both Felix and Cliff Lee are available and I have Haren. My keepers for sure are Lawrie, Kinsler, Verlander and Bourn (or Bruce if my deal gets accepted).

I just made a minor deal here, what do you guys think.

I trade SP Edinson Volquez (Just picked him up last week) for 2B Rickie Weekes.

I had cover at every position except 2B and I felt this is a low risk, high reward situation.

Just did two seperate trades...

Traded Edwin Jackson for Billy Butler.

Then traded Starlin Castro for CJ Wilson.

Butler trade was offered to me, but wasn't ready to do it without adding another pitcher. So I put Castro on the market and looked for someone who had SP's that needed a keeper worthy position player.

Jesus Montero
Freddie Freeman
Neil Walker
David Freese
Rafael Furcal
Giancarlo Stanton
Ryan Braun
Lucas Duda
Util: Billy Butler
Util: Mike Aviles
Bench: Quinton Berry, Michael Brantley

SP: Weaver, Lester, CJ Wilson, Ian Kennedy, Detwiler, Quintana, Buehrle

Yeah, worked out big for me. Was suprised the Butler deal got offered to me.

And with other trade, we are in a 12 person keeper league. Have to have atleast 1 pitcher and 1 postion player under contract. The dude with Wilson is like 4-9 on the year, with an expiring hitter contract and no one else worthy enough to keep. Kind of forced his hand on that by telling him Castro will be the best player he comes across before the trade deadline-which is probably true anyway-.

Side note: My 3 year deal with Lester finally comes to an end, thank god. Going to give 3 years to Stanton and run with him Braun and Weaver going into next year.

Well done. Weeks is so consistent so this current year he's having is really the outlier. He's been hitting for a 300+ avg the past 2 weeks aswell.

I've got a pretty good keeper team right now and just traded for him to supply me some playoff depth. All it costed me was a 2nd and 3rd round pick in a relatively weak annual draft.

Braun, Stanton AND Weaver? Damn. Stanton and Braun might both be top 10 players next year. Stanton has potential to become THE best player within a couple of years.

I have the weirdest problem. It's not with my team, it's with ****ing MLB.com.

Somehow, I lost all my automatic passwords and such for all websites, so when I went to log in to my team on MLB.com I had to manually type all my info. Then for some reason, it wouldn't let me log in. I had everything right (I can log in to my account on the actual MLB website, just not the fantasy part), but for some reason it redirects me to the "registration" page. On the registration page is a "if you already have a team, click here" option. However, that just refreshes the page I'm already on!

What pisses me off is that I had the best team in the league and was dominating week in and week out.

I emailed the MLB.com support page, and they literally did nothing for me. They reset my PW because they thought that was the problem, then asked for the rest of my info so they could "look into the problem further" and then never got back to me.

So ****ing frustrated.

Yeah, love my keepers.

Had last pick-12th- in this passed years draft. Didn't think there was any chance Stanton would fall to me in that slot, but I was more then happy that he did.

Just got this offered to me.

I get Upton, Hanley Ramirez and Peavy.

For

Pence, Kubel and Capuano.

What do I do?! I'm so torn on this one!

EDIT: In further negotiations I've got the deal to this.

I give Tim Hudson, Chris Capuano, Hunter Pence and Jason Kubel

For Johan Santana, BJ Upton, and Hanley Ramirez.

Now. Do I accept?!

Im in a 16 team keeper league and just got a proposal:

I give up Jhonny Peralta and Mike Napoli for Ian Desmond and Jesus Flores.

I really like Desmond and know about his oblique but I have no use for Flores, I have Arencibia. I have started slipping in the standings and I am not sure if I would keep Napoli next year based on where he ends up. Im thinking about countering with:
Me:
Jhonny Peralta
Mike Napoli
BJ Upton
For:
Mike Moustakas
Ian Desmond

What do you guys think?

I feel you're still giving up too much. I don't think Desmond's great year warrants that type of return, but that's just me. Replace Upton (who's a fantasy beast) with a lesser player.

FYI I know you have JP as your catcher, but if Salvador Perez is available on the waiver wire, and you have a spot free, you should nab him. He'll hit for a high average, rare for middle-tier catchers and surprise you with RBI. Not a big home run guy, round 15 a year I'd say. Since it's a keeper league I'm under the impression that he's already taken but take a look.

I have V Mart on the DL for next year assuming he will qualify for catcher but Perez isnt available anyways. SS is so thin in this league that I am looking for someone to shore up the spot for the next few years. I had Desmond last year and didnt keep him thinking I could swoop him up in a later round. He ended up going in the 8th round, which after keepers was the 3rd round.

I'd honestly ride it out with Peralta. No point in trading him at his lowest point while acquiring a guy like Desmond who's smokin unless you get an unbelievable deal. He's improved the last 2 weeks, so one would hope he trends up. I've got both JJ.Hardy and Peralta in a keeper league myself, both are struggling big time.

Ya I think you are right. Im thinking he wants Napoli more the Peralta. Would you do Napoli for Moustakas straight up?
