I have been 20 points up on 2nd all year though so I'll be fine.
That indeed was a pretty good deal for you. And 20 points up on 2nd place is pretty good. I'm currently 9 points up but my last two weeks haven't been the best. I'm playing the #2 now though, so hopefully I can pad my lead a bit.

Weeks indeed has been playing well lately, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't try to acquire a better 2B. I can try to offer up Cruz, but not sure who to target. I was thinking of throwing a package of players to Pedroia owner's way, but still mulling over that.

I really need Josh Hamilton and Roy Halladay to get going. Hamilton had a putrid July. Hopefully he put it behind him.

Just made 2 crucial moves in a 12 team keeper league. Every guy you keep, it costs you a draft pick (whatever round they were drafted). If you pickup someone in FA either drafted or undrafted, it costs you a last round (26th round pick).

So Tulo was dropped a few days ago. I used my number 3 waiver to get him. He will now cost me my 26th round pick to keep

So then guys worth keeping. Verlander (would cost a first), Lawrie (5th), Tulo (26th), Bruce (6th rounder if I keep Lawrie), Haren (4th), Perez (17th) and Kinsler (2nd). I can only keep 5. I decided Tulo, Verlander, Lawrie were for sure guys while Perez and Haren seem unlikely guys I wanted to keep. I'm not too far from playoffs but I wanted a stud team for next year.

So I then decided time to make a big move for a stud. Kinsler, Perez and Haren for Cano. Since I'm keeping Verly he'd cost A 2nd. Thoughts?

Offered a free slate (including Matt Kemp, Joey Votto, Carlos Santana, Dustin Pedroia, David Wright) if I use my in-season renegotiation (basically in season we designate one player that we can keep next year for three more dollars) on Mark Trumbo and send him over. This obviously hurts me next year, but it's tempting.

Today Felix, Stras, and Sherzer combined for a line of:

22IP 3W 29K 0.82era 0.64whip.

@Mapes - I thought I was done in the "baseballblowout" league. Never gave up, now I'm slowly climbing back. If I can finish in the 5-6 range, I'll consider that a success.

I have now had two pitchers throw perfect games, and neither was Philip Humber.

Also, Michael Saunders has regressed to his mean, and it sucks.

I've the possibility of acquiring Dan Haren for Tommy Hanson in one of my keeper leagues and am I bit at crossroads with that. I'm an LAA fan so it's tempting for me, but I don't really know what to expect of either one of them going forward. I'm relatively new at fantasy baseball so input from more seasoned managers is greatly appreciated.

Whats your name on there?

EDIT: oops, I see you changed your hf username

I considered myself done until this weekend. Ive gained a ton and if I realized how close the HR/SB categories were I would have done more deals. I dealt Lincecum and Jordan Zimmermann for EE. My only 3B who's healthy is Michael Young. Ouch. He's been horrendous. Had him the past 2 months or so and I think today was the first HR since that time. Lincecum has just been so bad I won't play him anyways and Zimmermann has been good but I have Gallardo, Halladay (done better since the DL stint), Cliff Lee, Hamels and Diamond for other SP. I think I can make a move to the top 3 or close to it which I never saw coming. Many stats in that league are close.

Yahoo! is going to be retroactively taking out all stats from Melky and Bartolo. Bold move on their part. Guy in my league is about to drop from 2nd to out of the playoff picture because of it

I couldn't find anything at Yahoo saying that. It wouldn't make sense and is completely unfair. It's not the manager's fault they were doping and it would completely skew league standings.

I play both revere and crisp for 2 days straight because I'm tied with 2 others in SB. (roto league) Today I decide I need the sure thing, so I play my big bats instead. What happens, sb for both today. fml. I'm turrible at matchups.

You think thats bad? Yesterday I realized 30 minutes before gametime that Bautista is back. Me being excited (as a fantasy player and a Jays fan), so I switch him to 3B. Who was my starting 3B before I benched him? Chris Davis. Bautista goes 0/4, Davis hit not 1. Not 2. But 3, yes, 3 HOMERUNS. I was watching the game, too, every time I did a massive facepalm. Each facepalm was bigger than the previous one.

I can picture it now.

It was probably dwarfed by my 'we're getting pummeled by the O's' facepalm though.
