Doubt it. Myers cant play CF and Rays only have Jennings and Sam Fuld.

Ended up doing the Miller/Lee for Trout deal. Posted it on another board and everyone thought it was a steal. Man pitchers sure are undervalued in fantasy baseball. I know Trout's a stud, but Miller and Lee are two of the top probably 10 or so pitchers in baseball (fantasy wise). My team's hitting .215 though so needless to say I had to do something.

Last year I drafted for Peralta for my SS. He wasn't great and I had to drop him. This year I went for a safe pick and grabbed Castro. Complete dud so far and Peralta has been doing extremely well.

Hate when that happens.

Tampa called up Myers, might be worth looking at.

I really like Choo though.
Since I made this trade Moore is 0-3 with a 9.38 ERA. The guy hasn't dressed Choo for some dumb reason even though he adjusts his lineup almost every day.

So far from his perspective he has given up Soriano for Trout.

I've been offered Gallardo and Frazier for Ellsbury. I'm pretty set in SB and I could use a top SP. Frazier is a nice consolation as well. Is the value there? I could see it being a great deal especially if Gallardo is dealt to a stronger team in around a month.

EDIT: it is a keeper league

Well, he ended up accepting Ellsbury and Taijuan Walker for Matt Carpenter and Gallardo. Feel I did pretty good.

I still have Vmart. He doing okay there for a week or two and I thought he was coming out of it. Now he is sucking again,

Should I drop him for Jason Castro?

Made a trade, sending Pujols & Chapman to my buddy for Fielder & Balfour.

I am worried Pujols will go down to injury sometime this summer and I am stacked at RP, as before this I had Chapman, Grilli, Mujica, Holland, and Nathan. Balfour actually has 1 more SV than Chapman in the past 30 days, but 1/2 the K's (22-11).

Hope it works out in the long run.

I think that's a good trade. I like Fielder.

Great deal IMO. Pujols has been getting worse yearly, Fielder is struggling but I trust him way more.

Balfour for Chapman is a wash more or less.

Can I get some opinions on Leake and/or Bruce? I'm in a keeper league, we keep 6. My 5 obvious keepers are Strasburg, Verlander, Fielder, Cano and Tulo. I also have Price, Bruce, Leake. Leake would cost a 26th round to keep, the others would cost a 6th.

I know it might be a little premature but not sure if I should "sell high" on Leake and fill voids on my team and keep either Price or Bruce or hang on to Leake. Is this run legit or a hot streak?

Leake is looking great and in keeper leagues I always value what round their value is to be given up for the next season.

I'd say it depends on what players the other managers decide to keep but I'd lean towards Leake if this is a large 12+ team league.

Also, I was just offered Domonic Brown for Pedro Alvarez. I'm going to wait a few days until I see Pedro is going into a cold spell (which would be batting sub .150) and swoop in to make the trade. I'm already strong @ OF but Brown would be a decent UTIL option.

Pedro goes through a lot of cold/hot streaks. I wish I nabbed Brown but I was too late.

I have Starlin Castro and I am thinking about dropping him for Jed Lowrie. Thoughts?

Castro has been brutal this year. But I still would never drop him. Even in a 1 year league.

I just dropped Castro for Pedro, who I will flip into Brown.

I have Hanley Ramirez, Everth Cabrera, and Ian Desmond who are all SS eligible though. Was disappointing to drop him.

That makes sense. My best option right now is Lowrie unless I trade for a player.

I can't see Castro hitting like this all year though.

Unless you have a friend who is a Cubs fan with a heavy bias I doubt you'll receive much. Lowrie is a solid .300 hitter, I'd take the risk but I understand the uneasiness of dropping Castro. I sat on the idea of dropping him for 3-4 weeks now outside of the couple games he actually performed. I'd drop him if there is nobody desperate for a SS & continue to keep an eye on him, once there is a sign he may be turning things around I plan on jumping on him for no other reason than to hope to trade him or as a spot starter in case of injuries or slumps.

Also, as I haven't posted in this thread until the last few days I will post my fantasy team:

It's an 8-team, H-2-H non-keeper that I have with some friends.

Pos. Player
C Posey, B
1 Fielder, P
2 Carpenter, M
3 Ramirez, H
SS Desmond, I
OF Puig, Y
OF Cruz, N
OF Martre, S
UTIL Altuve, J
UTIL Alvarez, P
BN Freeman, F
BN Aoki, N
DL Cabrera, E
DL Kemp, M
DL Granderson, C
SP Hernadez, F
SP Scherzer, M
RP Grilli, J
RP Mujica, E
P Holland, G
P Nathan, J
P Balfour, G
P Gallardo, Y
BN Add/Drop Flex SP

I am currently in 1st place, with a 7.5 game lead that I should add 1-1.5 after this week. It is the Yahoo! standard 10 stat match-up.

I got offered Rizzo and Peralta for Puig. I don't think Puig will continue to be hot. I need a SS too. Thinking about doing this one.

I went through with it. I think Peralta will decline but will still do well. I need a SS. Rizzo will start to do well. Not sold on Puig yet.

Where Jansen's job doesn't seem to have much security with these constant switches that have been happening with him and League, but he would get plenty of SV opportunities just from being on the Dodgers. I feel like it's either the solid choice or risk/reward game hahaha

The Dodgers are in last place he won't get that many save opportunities.
