I realize. I just think the Dodgers are a strong team and will pick it up from here on.

Who would you rather stash on the DL? Colby Lewis with his wonky elbow, or Halladay with his shoulder issues? Both are expected around August/sept.

If anyone is interested, I have a 9th year keeper league that is looking for 2 mid-season replacement managers. I warned these guys about inactivity a couple weeks ago and they've still had another inactive stretch. PM me for details.

I think Halladay is done. Haven't paid much attention to Lewis. I would probably take him though.

Both aren't great options though IMO.

I pulled another one.

My batting AVG sucks and the saves were not a strong stat for me either so I traded Trumbo, Uehara and Mat Latos for Kyle Blanks, Yasiel Puig and Addison Reed.

Sucks to lose Latos, but I have plenty of other good pitchers: Weaver, Santana, Zimmerman, CJ Wilson, Gerrit Cole and Chris Sale.
Basically, I couldn't resist to get Puig.

Thoughts?

Solid deal. Especially considering Puig could be a top 20 fantasy player next year for sure.

Is this a keeper league? If not, I don't like it at all tbh.

I think Puig will have a decent decline. He's too aggressive and from my limited viewing, it seems he gets fooled a lot by breaking balls well off the plate.

Watch his 2 RBI single tonight. The guy can flat out hit. He's good when a pitcher is good, and when a pitcher makes a mistake he almost always capitalized. I think 5 of his 7 home runs have been to opposite field too. Yes he is aggressive, but if he wasn't he wouldn't be who he is.

He is truly a 5 tool superstar.

As others have said, depends if its a keeper league. If it is, great deal. If not..then not so great

No, not a keeper league.

I agree Blanks is just a throw-in, but I think I'm solid with starting pitchers and I really needed to get a better batting AVG... Trumbo is playing like crap though.

I think Reed is equal if not better than Uehara. So at the end I think both of us got what we needed.

We'll see, everybody said Frazie for Starlins Castro was steal, ended up both playing like very mediocre since then.

I know this is random but I decided to join a Yahoo Fantasy Baseball pool this year even though I've never watched a baseball game in my life. After 13 weeks, I'm in first place and WAY ahead of everyone else (50-16-4). I drafted my team based off of stats alone and my waiver pickups come from the Transaction Trends list. So far, I'm winning 10-0 this week. I don't know anything about baseball.. Can't even name all 30 teams.

Here's my team:

Batters

Wilin Rosario
Paul Goldschmidt
Jason Kipnis
Mark Trumbo
Ian Desmond
Jay Bruce
Yasiel Puig
Mike Trout
Evan Longoria
Giancarlo Stanton
Nate McLouth
Gerardo Parra
James Loney
Curtis Granderson DL

Pitchers

Max Scherzer
Zack Wheeler
Addison Reed
Ernesto Frieri
Casey Janssen
Kenley Jansen
Joaquin Benoit
Jim Henderson
Alex Cobb DL
Anibal Sanchez DL

Nice work! Basically a hybrid of the good pieces of my team and Burrows19. Makes sense why you are in first as he is also in first in our league and I'm in 4rth.

Anyone know much about Taylor Jordan? Nats recalled him and he's pitching pretty good so far. Don't see him available on Yahoo yet though. But when he becomes available is he worth stashing?

Yeah you're right that is really close to a hybrid of our teams, most of my team though! Keslerburrows and I both just completed some pretty big trades with a team in our league . This is in a keeper league, the team name we traded to is Cubs to keep it simple.

To keslerburrows: Stanton, James Shields and Billy Butler
To Cubs: Puig, Gallardo, Matt Carpenter and David Ortiz

I think he got off with a steal as in my eyes it's a triple upgrade, especially in a keeper.

In my deal,
I acquired: Kris Medlen
Cubs acquired: Josh Donaldson and Francisco Liriano (both of whom I picked up off the waiver wire in the past month and a half)

I'm really happy about it from my team as I have a surplus of hitting players, and I still have Longoria at 3b and A-Rod (bleh) coming off the DL in a little while but he should provide good backup.

I'm curious to hear your guys thoughts on our deals.

Just did a bit of research on him and he looks like he's had a lot of success in the minors, wouldn't be a bad pickup when he becomes available. He wasn't too sharp tonight against the Mets, but he is owned 25% in CBS leagues so take that for what it's worth when he becomes available on Yahoo.

Is Freese and Grienke for Beltre somewhat of a fair trade or is it too one sided.

I got offerred an intriguing deal, NO keeper league:

I acquire: Billy Butler (1B) and Kyle Seager (2B, 3B)

I gave up: Prince Fielder (1B)

Of course Fielder is BY FAR the best player in the deal and his upside is tremendous, but it's not like he's having that great of a year and stats-wise I'd get a lot more out of those two. I'm not a fan of quantity over quality usually but in this case I don't know...

Thoughts?

Freese is not having a good year, but I'd keep him and Greinke. Depends on your roster situation though.

That's okay. Generally (depending completely on the size of league, rosters) Seager is more of a bench player. Fielder is in the heart of one of the best lineups in baseball and is a lock to be up there in RBI and home run totals... Could work out though if you are improving your 2B/3B with Seager.

My OF is Holliday, Pence, Kemp, Myers and Puig right now. I have Kemp ready to come off the DL, but need to get rid of someone else. I was just offered Matt Moore for Puig, but I don't know whether to do it. I know Puig would be a good option since it's a keeper league, but Kemp is obviously too, and Myers has potential.

Thoughts?

I would try and get a better pitcher than Moore
