I really like Faksa's game but I believe in taking BPA and I believe that Dumba is a better player.

Dumba for me. Morgan Rielly really intrigues me but I think it would be a reach to pick him at 6.

Man this stupid Toronto getting the 5th pick is pissing me off. We were guaranteed a player I wanted if we had a top 5 pick but now we may be stuck with a player we aren't targeting and trading down.

I say Dumba. Will vote when I get to my computer.

Dumba isn't a bad pick guys.

Also ^ dumba is the kind of player Murray loves. I really don't think there's a chance we trade down this year.

What type of player exactly does Murray love? He's all over the place in terms of what type of team he wants.

Agreed with this, he doesnt seem to have a vision for one type of player that he wants and for that matter what kind of team he wants as you said.

I know I'm in the minority, but Trouba over Dumba.

I know I'm definitely in the minority, but Reinhart over both. IMO he gets underrated kind of like Tyler Myers was a bit underrated(big but not as physical as some would like), and is just a top notch defenseman. Not a huge fan of Dumba, too aggressive for me.

Also wouldn't mind Faksa at all. The more I read on the kid, the more I wonder why he isn't ranked higher. Seems like he'll become a very good player.

Also don't see Burke picking Forsberg, just don't like the fit, and his somewhat disdain for Euros in the draft doesn't help. IMO they either trade it to bring in help or go Dumba, I could see Burke absolutely loving Dumba.

The last two posts match up with the vague and entirely unsubstantiated feeling I have, that our staff is going to like one or even both of Trouba/Reinhart better than Dumba.

To be honest, I don't think it'll even matter. I really think that not only will Grigorenko fall to our spot, but that Bob won't pass on him. I can see tons of reasons why the first five teams won't take him, and ignoring a lot of his question marks and being dumbfounded he's still available seems like a very Bob thing to do. I also think the Isles are going with Dumba anyway.

If the Ducks can't have Forsberg, Grigorenko, Galchenyuk or Yakupov, I wish that Murray drafts Dumba. I think that he's exactly what the Ducks need. Here's a good read about him http://thehockeywriters.com/mathew-d...spect-profile/ . Building a defence around Fowler, Sbisa and Dumba would be pretty awesome.

Obviously, but there is still some decorum. It's not like we'll have a top 10 that looks like

Teravainen
Murray
Yakupov
Collberg
Ceci
Dumba
Galchenyuk
Grigorenko
Rielly
Lindholm

I think it would be painfull, actually. Add Vatanen to that list. It would took at least 5 years of development to be successfull. When was the last time when team had success with ~4 defenseman around 20 years? D`s need experience.

I would like us to draft a center, since we don`t have many options behind Holly, who, like Getzy is quastionable during the most part of the season and plays like he should only when golf time is coming closer.

No, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see a top 10 like this:

Murray
Yakupov
Forsberg
Dumba
Trouba
Grigorenko
Teravainen
Galchenyuk
Reilly
Reinhart

Well of course the Ducks have players like Beauchemin, Lydman and Visnovsky, possibly Brookbank too. I don't want to ship those players away (yet atleast) but Fowler-Sbisa-Dumba would be a good young core to build around in the future. Beauchemin has also many years left in him and he's a part of that core aswell. In few years that defence would have skill and experience too, getting better year after year. Also I wouldn't look too much the age because it's not like Fowler for example is a complete beginner.

I would probably too want to draft a center but if the best onese are already taken, I would want a skilled defenceman.

That's kind of the thing. I don't know when we had the last draft where we ended up with a top 10 that would not have surprised most people in at least one or a couple of spots.
