SOLI'S SHORTSIDE
- Will update the Oilers lineup as it becomes available. Expect Paajarvi or Smyth to flip flop, and Khabibulin to start.
- Nuge returned vs. the Wings, and misses his 1st game vs. the Wings. Get better soon!
- Sam Gagner continues his hot-streak. Has 12 points in the last 3 games. Let it ride Sam!
- We saw both Detroit goalies last time out. Word is that Babcock isn't too confident with Conklin. We shall see how that translate on the ice!

I can't recall where I read it but it was a good point. They gave Cornet offensive line mates, I'd hope they do the same for Maggie.
I wouldn't mind at all seeing Paajarvi - Lander - Hemsky, 94 - 10 - 28, 55 - 20 - 37

I can't see the Oilers beating the Wings at the Joe after recently eking out a win at Rexall, there is just too much going against the Oil.

I thought there was a game tonight.
I've got a bad feeling about this one though.

haha
too bad the coaches would never allow Lander to play ahead of EITHER horc of belanger, let alone both of them.

Hope Sutton is back in. Khabby's 1st game in 6, so maybe he will help steal one.
I think it will be close.
5-3 wings with the empty net.

But yeah, totally agree. Oilers are going to need some dominant performances to pull a win out of this one.

Joey McDonald gets the start. Commodore and Mursak are healthy scratches.

ANyone know who's expected to get the majority of starts for the wings while Howard is out? Macdonald or Conklin? Looking to pick up a goalie in fantasy...

After how Joe Mac finished out the game in Rexall, I be amazed if he didn't get the start.

I like it. If Pajaarvi is gonna be with the big club we might as well give him the opportunity to succeed offensively.

How Conky has stayed in the league this long is anyones guess. The wings paid the price for playing him just as the oilers did years ago.

Get the feeling Big Bert will light us up. Seems like he always brings his A game against the Oil.

Give me a full 60 minute effort and I'll be happy. Win, Lose or OT loss.

Throw Dubnyk to the wolves tonight. Nothing really on the line with the Oilers just playing out the string. Work Devan like a rented mule and see what they have here.

Thanks!
Stauffer says that Paajarvi will be playing Top-6 minutes tonight. He's not on either PP unit though.
Khabi starts.

Agreed. He's arguably the worst puck handler I've ever seen.
I think the Oilers win in a close one tonight

I missed most of our last game, who was on our 2nd unit? Were we using 2D like we have been prior to that game? If so I'm fine with Hemsky (trade value), Smyth (great at his trade), and Gagner (hot like a firecracker) play ahead of him on the PP, but if I have to see Belanger or Jones play there ahead of him that will really piss me off.
