WC Commercials Thread

Quite possibly the finest commercial I have seen in my life.

In spite of the rampant commercialism, it really captures the meaning of the World Cup really well. The World Cup means so much, to so many people around the world, and all of that meaning can be determined based on subtle things that happen on that pitch. Heroes are made and lives are indelibly changed. Just an incredible advert.

One of the best commercials ever for sure.

Though its still no Take it to the Next Level, which is the best commercial ever.

Nike Soccer clearly has a world class marketing crew

I forgot about that one. First time I've seen the full version and I think it tops the the new one. I really liked the Cantona ones (minigames on the ship, "A little less concersation") and the Brazil team kicking about at the airport. The Brazil vs Portugal one was also good. Cantona's cameo appearances were funny as well.

I like both equally as much. They're superb. But I want more half-naked brazillian women dancing samba in the stands. Just do it, Nike!!

Federer and Rooney playing table tennis was hilarious. Rooney getting fat was hilarious. Homer was hilarious. Kobe's samba was hilarious.

Love this commercial. Well played Nike, after that Tiger fiasco.

Great commercial. Little disappointing that Ronaldinho won't be in the world cup and but he's still in the commercial.

That commercial was amazing. Almost as good as the Nike commercial directed by Guy Ritchie.

It's the definitely the best but one thing I noticed in this commercial - Sneijder was wearing #8 - why is that?

I'm assuming the 'protagonist' is playing as the number 10 position.

It's not horrible, but it's not great. Certainly not the best from Nike, that's for sure. I actually prefer Puma's commercial.

WTF? Now they have a Robinho commercial? I mean did he shoot that footage during the WC? If not, why didn't they get it out months ago when it was clear Ronaldinho wasn't going to be at the WC? BTW, I'd love to see him score that goal.

Nike has released their usual "blockbuster" ad ahead of the WC:

Not as good as some of the previous ones, IMO. "Write the Future" from 2010 is my personal favorite.
