He's playing with Moulson and Tavares. Those are two great players. Put anyone with any playmaking ability on that line and they'll rack up the assists as well.

Im confident is saying that if he were on the Rangers he wouldnt be putting up those points because he wouldnt be playing top 6 minutes.

Who on our first or second line for that matter, has 38 assists?

They took him off the Tavares line some weeks ago and he was still racking points.

Fact is, he's a good player.

This.

He plays with goal scoring and gives alot of those points back with his poor defensive play.

Yep.

You don't get to 50 assists simply leeching off of a good player. We're not talking aboutr Mario Lemieux, here. Tavares is great, but as pointed out, Parenteau was actually taken off of his line weeks ago. So that isn't even relevant.

He's a good player. A player with 50 assists is a good player.

Didn't Jason Blake score 40 goals with the Isles a few years ago? What's happened to him since then? He was a better two-way player as well. If PAP leaves the Isles, don't be surprised if his points go down considerably.

What does Blake have to do with Parenteau?

I really didn't think he was a bad player when he played with the Rangers. He showed flashes of awesomeness actually.

Someone has to score points on bad teams, PA Parenteau is a guy who fits that description to a tee.

Rangers getting some publicity on SportsCenter! Showed highlights of today's game and then interviewed Jesse Spector about Callahan, Lundqvist, and just the Rangers play this season.

Datsyuk and Zetterberg are looking to do the same! Those Wings can draft, huh?

He would be on our 4th line, because he just doesn't fit the make-up of this team. That's my point.

I bet Zuccarello can put up a good amount of assists somewhere as well, but the fact is, he's not going to with the Rangers.

Some players fit better in other situations, on other teams. That's just a fact of the game. I'm not saying he is a good or bad player. A lot of players in order to get the most of them, they need to played to their strengths, in an environment they can thrive. Not every player is Datsyuk, Malkin, Crosby, etc etc etc who can just go to any team on any line and put up great numbers.

PA would not be a good fit on this team, kind of like Wolski. Not very good defensively, not willing to sacrifice the body or do the dirty work that is required of this team, etc.

When I think of Parenteau as a Ranger, I remember the two bad penalties he took against the Flyers in the final game of the 2010 season, one of which resulted in a game tying goal for the Flyers. Good for him that he is doing well on the Islanders but he isn't missed here at all.

Joey MacDonald needs to put on a "Joey MacDonald FTW" performance tonight and distance the Flyers from us.

For the team first in the league and trying to tie a record for home wins, the Joe is pretty empty.
