To be honest... I think Mitchell has a better chance against the fast, flying team of TB compared to Richards. Our big free-agent splash has been off-form lately and I think we will enjoy his skills more next season. It took Gaborik some time to get used to playing at MSG as well.
Matches against TB, Ottawa, Devils and TML are difficult games for us because of their pace. Why not try something else? As long as we won't get a 6-0 beat down
I am curious to see how Mitchell does on a top6 line to be honest. I remember him playing very very well against the Flyers earlier this season so he has the skill to give us a win. And people should stop making up so many excuses for Richards. He has not been himself and needs to be woken up. I rather have Torts do that now in stead of in March when we are close to the play-offs.
In the end we can never know for sure how line-combo's will work out without testing them.
What worries me more is the fact that Brian Boyle is still playing. Don't we have anything better to offer than this gigantic statue sliding across the rink?
Am I the only one who actually wants Hank to play the b2b this weekend? He obviously plays Philly, and the Caps offense is not to be taken lightly. We need to exploit their defense and goaltending first and foremost. Same applies to tonight's game.
In my office my ranger calendar shows Anisimov for February and I feel a goal from him tonight.
This time no weapons though.
I hope you didn't get suckered into the ssme calender I got suckered into. A 2012 rangers calander with ****ing Chris Drury for January! Thanks a lot Walmart!

I got the same one for xmas. I didn't bring it to work until this week and just flipped it to Feb.
BR gets over his girlfriend dumping him tonight: 3 point game, 1 G, 2 A
Book it!
Man, I didn't realize that he broke up with her and I didn't realize that Richards' sucking began when it happened. Well I guess that makes sense. Get this man some punani.
Makes sense to start Biron against these guys. That means Henrik will play back to back against the big boys (flyers / capitals). I didn't want to see Biron start against either.
It better be the case. We are babying Henrik's time this year. He used to handle back to back nights just fine. This year we act as if it is the end of the world if he doesn't split it with Biron.
The way we are playing Biron this season it doesn't look like Henrik will start more than 57-58 tops. He's an elite goaltender. He can handle the load. The improved numbers aren't because he is more rested but the team in front of him has been a lot better.
So I don't have to hear about all the *****ing and moaning that goes on in this emotionally unstable forum
Torts should be fired! I hate Torts.
Where is MZA? Bring back Prucha!
Omg! Richards on the 4th line!
Knowing that no line lasts an entire game, and we're NOW worried about permanent lines? Because that's really going to happen?
Richards is the whipping boy. I get it. Facts are, his numbers are pretty much on par, except his assists have taken a huge hit. Why? Because guys like Dubi, Stepan, AA, and MDZ can't hit wide open nets.
...but we're going to string up Boyle, Prust, and Feds. Let's ignore Stepan and Dubi.
This team in in 1st in the Eastern Conference. NO ONE expected this before the season started and - like most of us said in the beginning - we're probably 1-2 seasons away from a Cup run.
But we need to win tonight. Not because our season depends on it, but so this bipolar fan-base can go back to ECF final predictions, Hank for Vezina, and Torts for Jack Adams. I'd rather see idiotic post like that, than the idiotic posts involving MZA and our hatred for any of the three: Torts, Boyle, and Richards.
I seriously think we can go win the Stanley Cup. Win it...and you will complain that we're not a dynasty.

It's not about handling the load during the regular season. Sure, Hank could play 70 games with ease, but he'll be worn out during the playoffs.
Thomas played 56 (?) games last season and look how that worked out. If Hank plays around 62 games, we'll have a much more rested Hank for the playoffs.
