Previous Meetings this Season:

October 25th 2011 (4-3) W

October 22nd 2011 (0-3) W

GUY BOUCHER:
Quote:
  • "We have to keep on winning and winning, but I think what we don't want to do is focus on other teams, period. We can't control what other teams do. …We have to be even keel about what it is that we are doing."
Quote:
  • "We’ve only lost one regulation game in the past nine, so we have to keep on going. We’re playing well, we’re making it hard [for opponents] and our guys are finding ways to get points...These are some tough teams and this at the moment is a tough trip for us. So we have to make sure we continue to improve."
RYAN MALONE:
Quote:
  • "Everything feels good. I took a little contact out there (in practice), so we are just making sure and we'll see how it feels and take it day by day. We don't want to come back too soon and then you take one hit and we are right back to Square 1. So we want to make sure everything is good and I can last the rest of the season... We'll see how it feels today and play it by ear."

LET'S GO BOLTS!

First night of a back to back. Best chance to pick up points. Someone needs to drill Kaleta to keep him from getting wild and running everyone on the ice. He's such a ****-hook.

Guy Boucher said Malone is ready to go, but not necessarily playing tonight, sounds like leaning toward not playing, game-time decision

Vanek is coming back tonight from injury, having missed three games. He's at least not expected to be on the top line.

Adam has been sent down to Rochester and Kassian is taking his place. Other than that, flop Vanek and Leino on your lines and the Sabres lines are correct. Best of luck tonight.

Should of shot that Hedman. Another turnover, and another long Buffalo possession in our zone.

As the video clearly shows, Ruff's ankles were the principle point of contact. This is in direct violation of rule 48.1 which states:

"The onus is on the player to try to avoid or minimize contact with the ankles."

Although this play did result in an injury, myself, and the department of player safety have decided to not discipline this player because it did not target the head.

Not a bad pp. We actually generated a few chances and kept it in the zone for a good portion of the time, but no goal. Still a little time left for the 2nd.
