I am talking about the option were I picked pay as you go for the playoff in reference to you saying STH get invoice in March.
PLAYOFFS
"CHEER NOW, PAY LATER"
Renew by April 1st and there is no immediate charge for playoffs. Simply select “Cheer Now, Pay Later” on the enclosed renewal form and you get to defer playoff payment until mid-May, and pay only for games played. Those who do not renew by April 1st, but are interested in securing their seats for the playoffs, will have to pay in advance for all potential home games in the first two rounds of the playoffs, by March 18th.
Ugh..that was the whole point of why they did it that way last year. That way you didn't have to lay out playoff money if we didn't make it.
I highly doubt that's how they'll do it this year, especially considering it looks like we're making it.
So I don't care..........
That whole missing the playoff messed me up thats why I said it because I was thinking its for this year. However, it was offered the year before that when the Devils were clearly making it in.

No it wasn't offered that way the year for STH...believe me, my bank account doesn't lie.
I don't think it was offered for sth's against the Flyers but I do remember something like that being offered for the non STH's that had the STH's up in arms.
I still don't think you can..you have to purchase them from the beginning otherwise it's individual tickets.
Okay I will just send an email double checking. Guess I will just have to get them from a STH who got the first two rounds if they let STH get extras strips for those rounds.
Thanks
Anyone want strips to the first two rounds of the playoffs if the Devils make it?

STH can get extra strips, but I'm not sure what kind of price advantage you're going to get.
Well I am trying to fit in a Bachelor party ( in Florida) and wedding into my budget. lol And it doesn't help they cut my hours at work by two days.
So, why not buy your strips and then sell them on an individual game basis so you don't have to worry about relying on someone else to purchase tickets down the road?
Why do people go away for Bachelor/Bachelorette parties these days? What a waste of money!
Thats what I am probably going to do anyway CJ but I wanted to know if I had other options is all. My major problem is will I be able to sell the tickets going off the history of the first two rounds the last few years.
Edit: They wanted to go to the Netherlands at first before his brother decided to move back to NJ from Dubai. I would be happy going to AC for the weekend if it was up to me. They think everyone else can afford **** like they can because the Bride side has money. I told you about the jar they gave my mom to fill up to help pay for the wedding right? lol

I think the way the Devils have the upper level set up is perfect. Since 95% of the seats are on the rink side and only a few are really behind the net it doesn't make sense to have an abundance of different prices. If you don't like the value your getting for your seats you can always move.
Other people touched on why they should be lower, but to add to clarify what I'm saying - I think the face value should be lowered to get more people in the seats. I pay $24 per game to sit in 226, which is the grandfathered in price from when my seat was $22 per game a few years ago. I have no problems with this price (although if I was paying the regular STH price for 226 then I would move).
What I'm saying is that the fans in general, as seen in how empty these sections consistently are, clearly believe that the price for this part of the arena is too high. As a STH who there every game, it irks me to see it so empty and lacking the energy it used to back when the face value prices were lower

As of right now, Section 226 has 68 tickets available for Friday night, usually it has around 100 available for most games on gameday.
You may get a full section this Friday, especially with the $20 college ticket promo for the 200 level.

I can agree with that but I think they probably sold more single game tickets with the current structure compared to the old one even if it resulted in the near corner sections being empty.
If I had to recommend a change to the Devils sales staff I would make sections like 209,215, 226 and 232 discounted for college students every night except premier games of course.
The arena is highly accessible, but not the college kids. I'm no expert, but how many college campus in NJ are within walking distance of a train station? I went to Montclair State, which has a train station on campus. The issue(s) with that one is that trains are infrequent from that station (one every 45-90 minutes), and that the train line does not run at all on weekends. I'm sure there are others with train stations, but how many? Driving to games isn't going to be the easiest thing for college kids. Sure, tickets will be cheap, but if the train is out, one of them will need a car, and then the expense of gas + parking is factored in. It adds up and many will balk at it. College nights are good on occasion, but it will backfire horribly if it was every night. There just isn't enough of a market for it as your average college kid doesn't have the money for it.

These NJ colleges either have train stations on campus or very close within walking distance. I am sure there are more in Manhattan.
Montclair St
Seton Hall
Kean
Rutgers NB and Rutgers Newark
NJIT
Stevens
Not true, they do set an on sale date for rounds 3 and 4. Its been a while, but in '03 they sold strips for 3/4 to general public.
LOL maybe that's why I don't remember it! It's been a while.

Very rarely are people from Manhattan going to come to NJ for a hockey game because it's "College Night"...I just don't see it happening. Most of the times it's the surrounding area colleges as the scoreboard tells you who's in attendance.

Don't forget St. Peter's, FDU-Madison, College of St. Elizabeth, Essex County College, Union County College in Elizabeth and of course Princeton(though it's a jitney station now).
