Our group of over 20 has been at prudential center for 40 minutes waiting for our tour guide to show up. The Devils are really unprofessional, this is a joke.

Thats crazy unless something happen to that person but there is no one else that can do it.

Maybe there is a valid reason this person is late?
Did you have a contact person to call? Seems blame is half way here
We called him, he wasn't in. The Devils staff had no clue who our guide was, we showed them the email with info about our tour and they scrambled trying to find her... 40 minutes later, our group sales guy finally shows up with the guide.
Our tour was supposed to be geared toward engineering, with tours of the various systems that engineers would find interesting, like the communication systems, ice making, and descriptions of the structure, etc. They gave us a generic tour with no access to the areas that we were interested in. Lots of just showing off the lounges and suites mostly. All in all, it was nothing like they described, and that, coupled with the very late guide that blamed us on the mishap left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Our email with the meetup location said to meet at the vip entrance at Lafayette. We went there and it was locked. We rang the buzzer and were told over the intercom to go to the employee entrance. We followed their directions to a T.

Very unprofessional overall
I would contact someone and tell them. You could probably email Eric.
If the Devils don't rent skates for this event, you could always try a rink nearby where you live or the one your HS practices at to see if they'll let you rent a pair
Or you could try to get in touch with CB since he does work sometimes at a proshop in a rink and perhaps he could get in touch with some people there to help you out
I was told yes but limited due to there being way more people then there are skates.
Anyone know if when skating will the players sign a jersey and take a pic?
Pictures - absolutely. Although there will be multiple announcements will be made that players can't sign while on the ice, virtually all of them will.
Ice will likely be much more crowded than in recent years since they will only be using the practice rink (rather than both). I assume that will mean half the players on the ice at a time, rather than a 3rd. If you want anything signed other than a jersey or hat, you will want to go on the concourse, as you can't bring sticks, pucks, etc. on the ice

Sorry to hear that, it seems they really dropped the ball on this one when they had the chance to hit a home run with your group.
I would be disappointed too.
I would like to drive to Newark early in the morning (8AM) and park new Newark Penn, go to NYC and work, then come back to Newark, see the game, then get my car and go home.
Where can I accomplish this? Many of the lots near Prudential have a policy where if you park in the morning, then they hit you a second time with the event rate on top of the daily rate, which is just extroadinarily expensive.

Anyone with a good idea on this?
Thanks.
You could always park on one of the side streets where you don't have to pay for parking and then walk a block or 2 to Newark Penn.

You could park in the 24/7 Harrison PATH Garage $10 for 12 hours then rates repeat. Just get there before 8 because the place will be filled up by then. http://www.harrisonparkingcenter.com/rates.htm
Might have to spend an extra $2-4 bucks for the PATH but it probably adds up to parking downtown. Plus you're close to 280.

Why not leave a little earlier and just park in Manhattan near work at an early-bird rate? The $10 roundtrip NJTRANSIT fare approximates the tunnel fee anyway. Then just park in Newark along the street for free (as was said earlier).
If you go the Harrison/PATH parking option, be sure to leave plenty of time to get there by/before 8. Not sure which direction you're coming from, but in the past I would drive to Secaucus (going on 280 E from my house) and it would get very backed up at the exit for Harrison. If I remember correctly, it looked just as bad on the westbound side. This was often in the 7:20-7:45 AM range. Just be sure to anticipate traffic if you choose to go that way.
