I believe rosters are set soon after teh trade deadline for the season.

Im not sure if there is an exemptipon for extreme circumstances thou. Ala 3 goaies getting injured.

Last year, the Leafs assigned Jerry D'Amigo to the Rangers sometime in early February. The Rangers had to keep him on their protected list for it to happen though.

It can happen, but as far as a particular date goes though - I'm not sure what it is.

I'm pretty sure D'Amigo's 1st game in Kitchener after being sent here from the Marlies was Feb 4.
