I mentioned in our GDT that I'd like to see these teams play each other at full strength. You know who the Blues are missing, Devils missed Larsson, Zajac, Tallinder, and Carter.

That number 27 guy on your team, he's pretty good.

Good luck going forward. I love to see the Blues doing well again.

Looking forward to Backes and Oshie to get moving offensively. I miss that excitement from them... must need the Steener. Nothing beats the SOB line.

Crazy for the win! Must have something to do with that $40 I won on a Blues scratch off today

I was about to address that as well. Once in a while we'll see the two of them fire up and get close to what they SHOULD be playing like. But then they just fizzle out again and it's a long wait before they do something. The pattern just keeps repeating.

And it looks like Ottawa will defeat Nashville!

This night is just so spectacularly crazy.

Just wanted to stop by and say congratulations on the win, you guys have a damn solid team this year. I really admire the way you guys have built your team and constructed an identity for yourselves the past few years. St. Louis will be my adopted Western Conference team this year.

Pietrangelo is an amazing player, I would literally kill a man to have him on the Devils.

I would take the MOB line over that I think.

And I really get a warm and fuzzy feeling over the potential of the BOT line next year

Off-topic: Is TJ Oshie really 195lbs?

He doesn't look it.

Yeah kinda weird to see a 4-3 game. Blues haven't had a ton of those. But maybe the main board will shut up about both these teams playing nothing but the trap (still doubtful).

Liked the activity in our GDT tonight. It was good, nice to see several posters popping in.

Would you maim a man just to shake his hand?

I humbly suggest targeting Pekka Rinne.

I get that, he's solid as a rock on the puck and in the game.

It's just that I'm watching his post game interview and for a guy that size, his arms look smaller than I'd expect. I wonder where he's hiding all that muscle?

I'm guessing he must have tree trunks for legs and a metal plate for core muscles.

Don't mind me it's just the bodybuilding part of me talking (please don't judge).

Well he is listed at 5-11, which means his real height is 5-10, so 195 is realistic, he just has insane core strength.

I don't step into the main boards that often just because of that reason. It's funny people will trash a team for playing the trap, yet if their team did it and they were only a couple points out of first I don't think they would mind either. A win is a win and tonight was a pretty exciting game if I may say so myself.

Hockey players weights fluctuate a lot. NHL players have been known to lose 10 lbs in one single game. I would say Oshie probably fluctuates between 195-205 easy. Another example of a player who is surprisingly stocky is Sobotka. He is listed at 5'10, 198.

Now that one surprises me. Oshie doesn't, but I wouldn't put Sobotka at 200 lbs at all.

Being hockey players, they likely have crazy lower body strength.

Martin St. Louis is a good example. He's short, but he has absolute tree trunks for legs.

(apologies for bringing this up, by the way )
