As I am typing Parise scores... lol

Gonna say the Blues lose this one, just not enough offense.
You also typed that up as Stewart scored.

It's okay, you can eat crow with me.

Is that the garbage type goal that can get his confidence going?

Ah I must have missed that.

And just as I look away to reply to this the Blues score.

Ha. I like them, they have just said some funny things. They do come off as a little goofy, sounds like they're having fun, though. Nothing wrong with that, and certainly better than most teams.

Interesting that The Devils' announcers think that Stewart is having a "great Year"! He seemed very impressed wit the total of 11 goals.

OK I got a touch behind.
When I saw they had a powerplay, I knew it was bad news. Our PK seems to suck like it used to.
YAY Stewart, good to tie it up. And I was thinking, no score in the first...
On another note, anyone watching the game on NHL Center Ice? The sound quality SUCKS and it seems like it's been this way on a lot of Blues games.... I don't notice it on others. It sounds like they are talking in a bubble or something, it's hard to describe but it's annoying.

Commercial - fan in a Devils Jersey, instead of a name it says "In Cam We Trust" hehehe....

They looked like this before the break. We barely won against beat up Dallas and Edmonton teams on home ice. They need to get healthy.

And also, I think they look pretty good tonight.

Stewart looks good tonight. He's moving his feet, driving to the net and shooting. I wish he could always play like this. Some games he just looks a lot more interested than others.

Chris Porter is also playing some VERY good hockey. He's gotta stay in the lineup.

Seconded. Looks sloppy and the excitement of pressure just isn't there. There seems to be an imbalance in chi!

I don't think they look like a different team tonight. They look pretty good tonight. NJ has 40 pts in its last 28 games, Blues have 39. We're on their ice and they play this same kind of style against the Rangers.

What's different is the loss of Steen has really hurt. Losing 4 of their top 9 guys with whom they entered the season has taken its toll.

The Devils were 7 of their last 22 on the PP coming in and the Blues had given up 6 goals on the lasy 19 opportunities, as I mentioned at the end of the Ottawa GDT the other night, so that's where the real edge is. NJ immediately exploited that. That kind of Stewart goal had not been happening so it's quite timely in a game like this.

Blues can't kill penalties at a 65% rate as they're doing over their last 20 (stretching back to before the ASG break). They won't win. Frankly Halak has to catch that puck. He's been great but he tends to give up bad ones early sometimes.

What NJ has but the Blues don't is that high end scoring line who can really finish and we saw it in that first period.

Ottawa with the early lead at home against Nashville. 1-0, Spezza. Good time for them to get off the schneid.

As soon as heddy popped up I thought "five-hole".

Edit: that was a very nice goal. This is shaping up to be a great game.

That Ottawa team looked pretty good the other night. Been hoping it carries over and that the goaltending gets shored up.

Been a solid game so far. Although I could do without NJ's "you suck" chant ala Nashville.

Think some people here are underestimating the Devils a bit. I thought the Blues looked ok in the first period.

Nice to see Stewart score. I thought he looked good in the first period. I hate giving up PP goals, but it's even worse when it comes on a dumb penalty and DOG is always a dumb penalty imo...
