Obviously Foster had no intent, but the refs have to call it, especially if the guy is hurt.

I was cracking up when they said it was a major, and then saw the replay.

Also, Devils fans can joke about Foster getting the book thrown at him, but the guy has actually been good on the PP lately.

They call that but not the double minor for high sticking? The Refs are going to be the death of this league.

I didn't even know what hit the penalty was on until I saw the replay that was a terrible call.

That was only called because of the injury to Porter. No blood and that should have been 2 minutes for boarding only.

Foster's far away from being a dirty player and I don't think there was any intent for that to happen. Foster himself looked surprised that it happened and kind of crouched down to see if Porter was okay. He seemed to express concern so I don't think there was any intent on his part. He might sit for a game or two because rules are rules but it was more of an accidental incident if anything IMO.

At least that's not what ended up burning the Devils, as the Devils killed off the ensuing PP.

I don't want Foster to get suspended, because there's no reason to take money from him for that. But Tao should definitely be playing over him at this point.

True, but it still wasn't that bad of a hit though.

Nothing the refs can do. Its a pedestrian 2min penalty till its an injury, then its automatic.
