FRANSON ON IN THE LAST MINUTE HAHAHAHAHAHAa. What a freaking scrub. This guy is a 2nd powerplay guy with zero mobility. If Phaneuf is tired, put gardiner on for ****s sake.

****** game from the Leafs. Only showed up for the third and fell flat. Board battles lost, puck battles lost, and as was the game.

With the way Montreal and Calgary are playing as off late, it'll be tough.

Bad game, even worse out of town.

Must win against the Habs I guess. Going to be very difficult with Gomez...

All three of our goals were hard nosed, dirty goals.

Bah, tough loss. I think playing against the top teams in the East really shows the warts this team has.

It's still a work in progress, but against teams like New York, Philly and Boston you need a physical element up front. Leafs don't have that yet.

Big game on Saturday. Montreal is on a hot streak so should be an interesting match-up.

I don't see why the Leafs kept trying to chip it in on that 6 on 4. They're a fast team, trying to pass it in wouldn't be futile. I mean I don't even mind it if they dump the puck, but atleast retrieve it... They dumped it and then couldn't get it back. Didn't like those last two minutes.

But, it was a close game. Sucks that we lost but the buds kept it somewhat interesting. Onto the next one.

We really really need a couple of big, skill guys on our top 6. A guy who is willing to take the beating along the boards, and actually enable us to create any sort of cycle game.

No one in this team is willing to do that, and it really shows in the last few minutes when teams clog up the passing lanes, and force our guys to the outside, where they can't do jack ****.

Also, the goaltending is really starting to piss me off. There is no ****ing consistency. 2 shutouts, then 2 crappy goals in 2 nights.

Rather have an average goalie who doesn't let in stinkers.

Calm down.

Seriously you guys gotta calm down. I don't think you expect the leafs to win every game plus they played 4 games in 7 nights.

Can we now

End Lombardi experiment. I get it, he's a nice guy, he had 50+ points, he has blazing speed. Most of you think that maybe he'll turn out to be another Lupul type of player, salary dump into a star.

Ok NO. He's not that guy. He sucks. Against teams like Philly, who are big and fast, he has no game.

I would like Frattin, he plays the game hard, has some hands and has some potential to develop.

I been calling for his head since day 1, but apparently I was the bad guy. I have no problem being the bad guy, but get rid of this piece of sheaaatt

People can act superior and pretend this loss doesn't matter, but it does. More evidence that the Leafs can't compete against physical teams that have a good forecheck. We get dominated and can't do anything with speed if we don't have the puck.

Once again the third line is completely useless at doing anything but use icetime. I see no issue with throwing Connolly and Lombardi on waivers, doing nothing out there. Lombardi can recover his game on the damn Marlies and try again next year.

But yeah we should totally look ahead and not behind. Since at this rate we'll be right back outside of the playoffs looking up at the 8th seed....

Every team above and below that has a chance at the playoffs gaining a point tonight at the least.

Bad luck.

Gardiner has looked extremely tired for awhile, the congestion of the NHL sched is messing with him greatly. He's coming from NCAA hockey to this grind? Can't blame him

I say we send down crabb, call up nazem, and scratch Lombardi and play Boyce. I don't give a **** if Boyce is injured. Boyce with a shattered pelvis is better than lombardi

I've never seen this team successfully execute a dump and chase on the PP, it's pathetic.

I wouldn't be as mad if we got some scoreboard help but we didn't. This team is gutless and heartless.

You can't expect the youngest team in the league to take on the top tier teams and win all the time. Lots of hockey left.

Here comes the media frenzy and HFBoard overstuffing of senseless trades and borderline moronic speculation.

Philly is always a tough beat. 4-3 is respectable, esp with that awful first. Beat the Habs on Sundin night and lets get kickin on the Western road trip.

4-3 loss in Philly, can deal with it, the effort put in at the end, 6 on 4 out hussled, out worked, out battled to every puck, unacceptable. They better get a fire lit under their ***** for sat. Mtl is on a roll and if the Leafs waltz in to ACC, tap their sticks against the boards for 45min for Mats and go through the motions this could fall apart rather quickly

I'm getting tired of Crabb, he kills penalties but thats about it, with Armstrong and Brown back in the lineup who can fill in , we really need Kadri's offence on the third line.

I can't wait till we aren't the youngest team in the league then.
