Oh and Ottawa's about to win.

Calm down? We've dropped to eighth.

Burke had this grand idea of a top 6 bottom 6.. our third line is just a bunch of misfits and unwanted players.

Dump and chase is a sound way of gaining the zone....especially when Philly stacks the blue line...

They were just getting muscled off the puck....

Toughness is something we lack right now....

The only likely playoff spots are 7th and 8th as Leafs move down to 8th when Ottawa wins.

It's still a work in progress, but against teams like New York, Philly and Boston you need a physical element up front. Leafs don't have that yet.

Big game on Saturday. Montreal is on a hot streak so should be an interesting match-up.
Well said. These teams always knock us down a few pegs. At times we were getting pushed around so badly. It's funny, the Flyers change personnel and coaching yet they always play the same way. Never pass up an opportunity to finish checks.

In the end the third line is killing us. It's not doing anything at all. Enough of the "we can't do anything to Connolly it'll look bad" or "Lombardi's back from losing a year so we have to wait." We're supposed to be here to win. If Lombardi isn't at his best then send him down and let him get it back together in the AHL. He can try to crack the lineup next year. If Connolly can't get the job either do the same. Bring up some people who can actually do something.

Add Lombi and you are at 20% or 1/5 of the entire team budget.

Kadri-Colborne-Frattin should be our 3rd line. It will be amazing.

This is not true. The guy is not worth his paycheque, doesnt fit in at all and is playing like ****. That has no bearing on FA signing with a certain team

From what I saw it showed how Burke should keep his 1st. round pick or trade it for a young forward with upside and size.

Flyers have a 19 year old out to kill the penalty in the last minute of the game. Guess that's what happens when you have good picks.

Rebuild continues.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

But again outside of Brown, The bottom 2 lines didn't provide any spark or show grit and determination. Philly grinded the **** out of us basically the whole night, And the only player we could call up to help with that IMO is Frattin. But outside is going to need to be added if we want accomplish any thing in the post season.

If they have a problem Burke can ask them "do you intend to play like ****?" The message should be the same anywhere. If you play like garbage then you lose your roster spot.

We didn't deserve to even be in this tonight. Didn't start playing until the game was half over. Reimer isn't to blame. We were always a step behind the Flyers tonight. Big game ahead on Saturday against the Habs.

Burke needs to make a deal to get some size and toughness. Hartnell roughed us up tonight and it resulted in our Captain having to drop the mits.

About 2 at least were questionable. lol i've seen Gus have these type of games where made some big stops with a questionable goal in the mix. Except he gets blamed for the loss.
