It's kind of easy to say now after watching Del Zotto make that last goal happen, but I'm impressed with what he's done this year...working himself into being a legit top four defenseman who provides solid defense, physicality especially along the boards, and is picking his spots to join the rush much better, contributing decently well on points...
I can see him hit 40 points this year if he keeps up this recent bit of play and hopefully continue to improve, being a 50-60 point 2nd pairing player. Especially if the PP can get going

Good: The PP was very effective tonight. 1-for-3, and the momentum gained off the 3rd one led to the game tying goal by Boyle. Defense was good in the first and third periods. Players who were good: McDonagh, Girardi, Staal, Callahan, Gaborik, Stepan, Anisimov, Prust.
Bad: Defense in the 2nd period. They need to work on their coverage in front of the net, still. Brion was't all to impressive, 16 for 19 is okay, I guess.
Making those huge stops on Stamkos late in the third makes up for it a bit I think. Didn't see the first goal but he didn't have much chance on the other two
Very nice goal to win it. Tedious boards play by MDZ, great feed from AA and nice finish by Brad Richards.

Bad 0 Linesmen & refs, Marty B did not have a better outing. 1,5 softies, some very good saves in a difficult game for a keeper yet looked very uncertain at times

Better job gaining the zone on the PP . big goal by Richards . I still see him lose a lot of 1 on 1 battles all night 2 in his own zone 2 on one shift alone .
