News And Notes
Quote:
“IT WASN'T BY ANY MEANS THE PRETTIEST WIN. NOT AT ALL. BUT WE KNEW WHAT TO DO; WE FOLLOWED THE GAME PLAN. WE'RE HAPPY ABOUT THAT.”

Primary Target

Patrik Elias, a long elusively uncaught leprechaun, has been a thorn in the Panthers' paws for a long time. He's been the heart and soul of the Devils for a good while now and continues to be an underrated star (does that make any sense?).

Red Hot Cat Of The Night

Sean Bergenheim has 5 points in his last 5 games.

Hey guys, just want to ask how is Samuelsson doing? I would say pretty well based on his point totals.

Sucks to see Sturm's season not going so well, how's his game? (When healthy, obviously) Has his play picked up before his injury?

Samuelson and his line are carrying us now. They've become our number one line.

Sturm just unlucky, like booth.

I've really likes Samuelsson. He's good with the puck, created a lot of chances, and gets points. He's also responsible defensively, and seems to make others around him better, not a ton better, but it goes with his creating chances on the ice.

Sturm was doing well before he got injured. I really liked him on the checking lines, and he was great on the PK.

How's Boothy?

Booth has been great, created awesome chemistry with Higgins and Kesler. They call it the Amex (American Express) line

I really like his play, he takes the puck to the net and goes to the dirty areas.

Drunk guy came to see your thread.

Good luck tomorrow? or is it today? Hope Clemmer puts up a good game. Not as good ad Marty's but a good game.

Anyway thanks for giving Patty the respect he deserves.

Need to clean up the road play immensely, and at this point, there's nowhere to go but up! Grab 2 points and head to the Island. LGP!

this is going to be a really tough game. Devils have been awesome lately and we cant find our mojo on the road.

The last time the panthers controlled the pace of a road game was in san jose 2 months ago. They need to clog up the neutral zone and slow down the pace of the game. If we can do that we can be successful.

I find the panthers win more games by playing the way we did against LA by clogging up the neutral zone and not giving the other team any real estate to make things happen.

Exactly ...aka boring devil hockey...aka playoff hockey. It,was very noticeable and impressive live vs kings and I suspect Kevin has them moving more into that trap like mode which is successful in these remaining tough games.

Les not forget we are missing our second best puck moving dmen.

We win today we are only 3 behind them with a game in hand.

Lol I love parise. Devils produce awesome players who then move to rangers for payday and then suck.

I expect that same exact type of game today, except the Devils usually score early on us. If we can hold them off, and strike first, I can see us with 2 points but Im not getting my hopes up.

The key to clemmer is making a few early saves. This has been his infamous Achilles heel. Once he passes that threshold, he plays nice and tight, and the boys need to stop the east west moves.
