Hossa Update

He now have 7 goals and 1 assist in 10 games. He seem to be playing very well with his 8 points so what would you do with him when the NHL season will start?

I'd like to see him with Koivu and Kovalev. That way, you can have both Kovalev and Zednik playing on the RW. My second line would be Ryder-Ribeiro-Zednik. It would give us two great scoring lines and remember that Koivu and Hossa played a few games togheter and were doing really great...

Everyone needs to understand that Zednik is a LW/RW but a LWer first. If you can play him on the left then you should. So if Hossa pans out and we see him on the top two lines next season(if there's one) these should be the lines:
Hossa-Koivu-Kovalev
Zednik-Ribeiro-Ryder

Ryder is better at RW as well. don't forget, Perezoghin will be a year older now and will probably compete for a spot in the lineup. I'm so excited.

i'm also excited about Ron Hainsey's start with the Dogs. Same thing with Corey Locke who has 5 poitns in 5 games and leads the team in that category.

I don't think Zednik works too well without Koivu, so putting him on the second line is a bit iffy. And you shouldn't give the slacker player with nearly no motivation a free ticket to the 1st line [which even Kovalev had to earn with us]

I'd prefer to put Hossa on the 2nd line with Ribeiro and Ryder only because Zednik doens't seem to be able to produce unless he's with Koivu. I like the other sceneiro which was suggested and it woulnd't be a bad a idea just to try it out and maybe Zed will be able to produce without koivu, it's worth a shot ifind he just hasn't been able to in the past.

I would put him into third with Bonk and Sundström.

Well i predicted that Hossa would break out this year...just too bad it didnt happen in the nhl with the Habs . Non the less, im really happy for him. I just hope that he can continue to improve and play consistently, because hes got everything we need in a prospect. Size, speed, skill, shot, passing skills. All he needed was confidence and it seems he has found it so far this year. I just hope he comes in to next years training camp with a healthy and confident attitude that earns himself a roster spot......a well deserved one.

:lol

What an awesome idea.

Was it Sundstrom who was getting hypnotized before each game to make him believe he was a scorer?

Hmmmm........nobody even replied to this mcphee. Maybe posters here consider your plans with Hossa to be normal, accepted behaviour for you. It doesn't even merit a response. (And I thought the salsa dancing was............well..........interesting.)

Please tell me you'll let most of the salsa dancing to somebody else. Not sure anybody wants to stumble on that spectacle.

I went to an Alouettes game this summer with a friend and another guy met us for a beer before the game. I asked him if he went to a lot of games and he told me not really because he spent most of his free time salsa dancing. Now, I'm an open minded guy, but I get amused when I hear things that are so foreign to me. when we were hiking up to McGill stadium, I told my friend that I should take lessons, he started to choke. Apparently the thought of a 5'10- 220 lb. er, with no sense of rythym and a bum leg, seemed funny to him. OK, just dinner and a movie.

Wise decision. After all, who would lead?

That's the issue. Management wants him to take the bull the horns so to speak, so to help his development, I'd let him.

I really hope they settle this soon, I'm getting weirder by the day.

It would be good for his development, that is true. Plus he would look silly being led by someone with great legs and fishnet stockings. Just be careful that he doesn't practice his "finishing", if you know what I mean.

Finally, something positive to read about Hossa...and salsa!

Still have my fingers crossed on Hossa though.
