Pretty sure you'd probably get knocked out. Fighting on skates is hard enough, if you've never done it you really have no idea.
Generating force is hard, balancing while chucking, and tussling for leverage and position is hard. It already takes a tonne of effort to fight.
trying a spin would just open you up for the other guy. It's not the same as if you are standing on the ground, or a mat.
A punch is a punch. The main reason they don't use spinning backfists is that the result is most likely to be the player losing his balance and getting socked right in the face by his opponent while he's off-balance.
I'm serious. Seems like hockey is a bare knuckle, chop till you drop occasion and as I lay into this dubie I thought to myself...
What if a player used something like a spinning backfist during a hockey fight, and for the sake of this thread, LANDS it and KOs his opponent clean?
What kind of controversy would arise from such a thing?
How about a flying knee drop from the top of the plexiglass, only to have the other player roll out of the way at the last second so the guy lands on the ice, gets knocked unconscious, and is counted out?
