Yeah, it is quite amusing. If they seriously did fire coach Q, it would be a huge mistake, just like when we fired him. Which is why I can respect Nashville and Buffalo for sticking with their coaches for so long.

JR said we have a bunch of guys battling the flu, so could be an interesting lineup.

I actually like the Sharks overall. Plenty of players that individually I'm a big fan of.

Much rather see tem do well over Chicago

That's probably Hitch's motivational speech before every game.

San Jose is the only team that I actually hate thanks the 99-00 season. Yeah it's fun to hate on Chicago and Detroit. But I don't actually hate their franchises.

When I go to Chi or Det games I want us to win of course. But it's fun from a rivalry standpoint. There are always Chi and Det fans at the game so when we win it's fun to see them mope away all sad.

When we play San Jose I want us to win 27-0 and somehow every San Jose player limp away after the game. Somehow their coach take a flying puck to the arm so he doesn't get away unscathed either.

Ever since the one man team with Owen Nolan knocked us out of the playoffs I despise San Jose. Damphousse was good too but it just seemed Nolan couldn't be stopped if we could have put 20 guys on the ice.

I hate them, I hate them, and after that I hate them some more. May San Jose fall on such hard times that the team is forced to move to Bolivia.

Prediction- Blues 32, San Jose -5. The refs award minus goals to San Jose because they can. Also the league suspends San Jose for the remainder of the season and they have to skip the next draft.

That is all.

P.S. For some amusement go check out the Chicago fans going ape ***** on coach Q and their players. So far with Chicago coach Q is 170(w) 93(L) 35(ot). The most unstable position in all of major sports is the NHL head coach.
I wouldn't cry if that happened.

Didn't want to make a separate thread, but Dags was put on IR for a concussion from the Ottawa game.

Another one bites the dust..

Dags doesn't do much for me, so no big deal, I am very worried about Steen though. We really need him and McDonald back in the lineup.

Johnson told Strickland that the puck hit him and Landy, why does everyone want to steak Bergy's goal?

It might be just me but I really don't like Colaiacovo and Pie paired... Though I didn't watch last nights game.

Side note so pumped for Amac!

Now the Hawk fans want to fire Bowman too lol. Honestly, do they even remember when they were a joke or did they just become fans after the Cup.

Or you could type stlblues.com and it'll show up on the front page. We don't want you to do to much work.

or you could go to yahoo sports, espn, nhl.com, the blues website, or any website out there that's sports related to find out the time. is it seriously that difficult?

I blame that series on Marc Bergevin. Side note, one of my greatest memories at the Keil/Savvis/Scottrade was the Salvador OT goal (game 5 I think). The place was going nuts.

IR doesn't mean anything. They activated McDonald from IR and put D'Agostini on IR. Has nothing to do with medical evaluation. Often times teams put a guy on retroactive 7-day IR right before he returns. It's just a designation logistic. The concussion was the significant thing, not the IR. It also allows them to call someone up in case two are out with the flu tonight, because they only have 13 healthy forwards at the moment including Grachev.

Like everybody else I'm excited to have McDonald back, but I'm tempering my expectations for this one a bit. I know he's been skating for awhile but I kind of expect that it'll take him a couple games to get his true form back. That combined with the second game of a back-to-back against a good San Jose team and I wouldn't be surprised with a loss. That being said, in contrast to the lackluster OTT/NJ games, the Blues generally worked their butts off last night (although not without some mistakes) with the same depleted lineup. I think if they can repeat that kind of effort and get a bit of a bounce-back performance from Halak, they'll come away with a win.

I'm worried about Steen too. I thought he'd be back a week or two into January, and now he's missed 18 games and counting. There's a lot of uncertainty as to when he'll return. It must be frustrating for him.
