We always got a big goal from our depth when we needed to. And don't act like it was such an easy decision to run with Niemi because he wasn't even the starter till almost mid-March that year. Bowman should get credit for his guts to stick with Niemi that year. That wasn't an easy decision, and not many fans had faith at the point he made the decision.
Let 'em know!

I love it for this year. It's just that 3.75M for next year that is really unattractive. But, if you move CC in the deal, 3.75M for Nik and 600K for Salak next year doesn't look bad at all. Definitely lower on the list for me than say, Nabby, Vokoun but also definitely not ruling it out as an option.

he wouldn't be a rental and has cooled off after a great start in october. Dubnyk outplayed him.

As rental, yes. With 1 year 3.75 million left? not really

Ya the $3.75 next year isn't that attractive but he still looks like an upgrade for next year over Crawford. .909, .919, .909, .890 (isnt this the year he got arrested?), and .917 the last 5 years. The Oilers are sellers while it appears the Islanders are not. May be our only chance to salvage this season.

Kulemin is overated on out HF Boards thanks to his 30 goal season he had last year .. This season he look lost and unmotivated when this is the year we need him the most ..

Frolik + what else would you add to that package for Kulemin

True. I wouldn't make a move like that until I saw Salak up here though, but the TD is approaching fast.

He's fixed the attitude problems for the most part. His skating is what the orgainization keeps harping on him to improve. Your proposal isn't a bad deal. I think they'd strongly consider it. I haven't given up on Beach though, we need a guy that plays his game.

Agreed you guy do need a guy of Beach calabur.. Kulemin can do all beach does but just right now instead on a year down the line ....

Kulemin is a fan favorite but i slowly falling out of favour with many fans including myself , he went from a 30 Goal player to now only having 5 goals all season % F I V E ....

I have just always been curious in Kyle Beach. During the 2008 draft i was hearing that he was touted as going anywhere from 3rd -7th overall but fell to 10th thanks to his attitude problem or something like that ...

Beach could challenge for a roster spot on the leafs in training camp and could even make it onto the 3rd line if he performs well .. How is his injury it was season ending was it not ?

He probably won't be back this season but I haven't heard of any setbacks in his rehab. He should be good to go for training camp.

That is very good new we badly need a prospect like him to come in and do something in the powerforward role

I don't know if the Hawks will give him up, at least I wouldn't if I were them. He looked like he might be starting to turn it around, and the Hawks are dying for a guy like him just like your boys.

Good for depth and the PK, but I want a top-six forward. Ray Whitney or Derek Roy sound nice. I think we are going to address the defense first. Grossman and Kubina should be the targets.

Would welcome him back. Burish and Eager played responsible minutes and you are right about Burish in the locker room; need that energy in there. They never resigned burish hoping Beach would fill his roll but he hasn't even got a sniff.

If Burish came back, Seabs would be the happiest guy in the world. I think the whole locker room would benefit from him being back, and you know he'd be excited as hell to be back wearing this sweater.

Burish is second only to Sopel when it comes to a marginal replaceable NHL talents that this fanbase loves
