I was gonna say the same thing.

Isn't trade reports one of eklunds best friends? I'm pretty sure they are close so when 1 reports it the other does.

Note that one of the players we recalled (Schultz) is kind of a goon, and the other is an energy 4th line player with grit.

It could be that another player is being sent down, but if I'm trading Moen, these callups make sense.

Coincidence?
Yup. Ryan White and surprisingly Ian Schultz (a.k.a the other player in the Halak trade). As far as I know they didn't send anyone down which may lend credence to Moen being moved soon.

some SJ posters so freakin' melodramatic. Moen has been great for the habs. scoring goals, fighting and playing 1st unit minutes on the best PK in years in the entire NHL. i personally don't want to see him leave habs. but a middleweight in white and heavyweight in schultz have both been called up. might have something to do with mike brown's cheap-shots yesterday or playing the bruins weds. either way it looks like moen might be traded

I really like Moen. He's been fantastic for the Habs this year...Kinda wish we'd re-sign him.

I doubt Montreal trades anyone until they lose a few games.

Moen to the Sharks makes some sense. It's just hard for us Sharks fans to believe that DW would bring him back after he played so poorly here the 1st time.

As a fan of Moen I hope he stays in the East unless he makes his way back to Anaheim.

I'd rather keep him. He's the type of guy you win Stanley Cups with.

Would love to see him in Detroit and they were rumoured to be in on him, hopefully he doesnt go to the sharks.

Odd that they call up White and Schultz right when Moen is getting scratched? Could see a move on the way

Olli Jokinen was a dud his first time in Calgary and now he's playing great hockey.

Moen was a big reason the Habs beat Washington in the playoffs. The series turned when his physical presence was put on a line with Gomez and Gionta.

But to each their own. Someone will want him, doesn't have to be the Sharks.

I don't get this "played poorly" for the Sharks line. In 2006-2007 for Anaheim he had 21 points, 9 fights. In 2007-2008 he had 8 points and 8 points for Anaheim. In 2008-2009 he had 11 points in 63 games and 9 fights... After being traded to San Jose he put up 5 points in 19 games with 2 fights. If you combine that season's totals it gives you 16 points in 82 games with 11 fights.

In 2009-2010 he had 19 points and 6 fights in 81 games. In 2010-2011 he put up 16 points and 8 fights in 77 games.

His stats are almost identical every year. He certainly didn't "suck" in San Jose.
