either way, with the likes of Spoons, Knighter, and Cross coming in - that's three guys with talent and leadership qualities that can play in any situation.
I suspect Warsofsky will continue to improve as well, he's handling his development right and his play so far does not surprise me at all.
I'm surprised it has taken the management team so long to make this commitment to Providence.
But this is good news and I hope they really do it.
Me too and have asked the question about a coach who is competent in Providence in developing these prospects (and I`m not saying that Cassidy isn`t), I have never seen a PB`s game, strictly going on the small pieces of info I can about the team.
To look at it from another angle Alan, I think that with the crop of kids who will be most likely playing in a PB uniform next year, it will be, hands down the most talented group they have assembled there in a long time and it is absolutely imparative that the proper coaching staff is in place??
No disrespect to the current players there, one would hope the best coach for that job is always in place but kids that have been mentioned are, from all we are hearing, higher end prospects and their development could be crucial to sustained success of the big club moving forward and staying competitive Cup contenders for years?

Both. I think they are preparing for those guys and others to come in and are hoping this will turn the team around.
Hutch had the flu and couldn't go- hence Courchaine's start with Khudobin injured.
The flu explains why we didn't see Hutch. I was wondering why we were playing Courchaine when we were essentially chasing playoff points. That game last night was so important, major bummer.
i dont understand why courchaine started again tonight when he wasnt good last night instead of st laurent.. st laurent won in portland and prob is better of the 2.. usually who starts friday doesnt saturday.. goaltending major issue now with rask and khudobin hurt hutch sick not good
probably not.. i think they need find another coach who can help devleop the talent the pbruins has better.. whitfield awful all year when healthy hes WAY too talented for that.. arniel sauve until lately did almost nothing 2 extremely talented guys
Spooner/Knight/Cross next year, question to you who watch em.....is Cassidy the guy who can teach them and develop them???
NO
Cassidy is not the guy for the current group, let alone when we start getting the prospects that actually have potential. We need a wholesale line change on coaching staff. Time for a fresh voice and new approach. 3 years overdue now. Cassidy never should have taken over, IMO. Do it right ... Can them all and start anew.

I don't think anyone on here has a clue if Cassidy is the right guy or not. Cassidy does exactly what Julien/Chia tell him to do so maybe we should be putting the blame on them. Or maybe we should accept that the players aren't very good. When Camper was called up he had high praise for the Providence staff and said his transition to the NHL was helped by the fact that Providence's coaches teach the exact same system they do in Boston.
