Just finished the season 2 finale of GoT. Might find myself getting the book for next season or perhaps the audio book. 9 months is too long to wait for another season.
Probably gonna start reading the books now. Don't know if that's a good idea or not but what the hell.. Can't wait a ****ing year
For those who've seen Luck. Just can't get enough of this scene. Truly magnificent. Otis taylor an all.

Do it. Read the first two books first. Dont jump into the 3rd and expect everything to match up. You'll just be asking "who are these frog eaters?".

I definitely will, don't know how I'm gonna be able to get started though. I usually never read when at home, only when I'm on vacation, for some reason. Looking forward to it though, to see the differences between the books and the show.
Ser Barristan Selmy - who quit the Kingsguard or was fired, I don't exactly remember - isn't dead. He didn't show up in S2 because he's not even in the 2nd book to my recollection. He meets up with Dany as Arstan Whitebeard. Whether this happens in S3 or S4 is anyone's guess.
Watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes the other night.
barf.
Quick plot analysis: E.T. meets 12 Monkeys. Ironic yet spot on. Replace the alien with a monkey, Elliott with James Franco, and toss in some loose plot points about a manstructed virus gone wild, sprinkle in some big pharma experiments and a a-hole torturing apes and end with exact same scene from 12 Monkeys.

I second this. Didn`t particularly like the movie either.
It's also 100 times better than the crap Wahlberg came out with.
Last few movies I've watched;
Bucky Larson - 1/10 - ****ing Horrible movie. Lasted 45 minutes and that was enough. Only reason it gets 1 is because of Kevin Nealon, I like him in Weeds.
The Woman in Black - 6/10 - Meh, it's not scary, it just tries to startle you every 5 minutes. Tries.
Safe House - 6/10
The Sitter - 6/10
Man on a Ledge - 8/10 - Enjoyed it a lot for some reason, not a huge fan of Worthington, but I liked it.

I wouldn't say it was better than the Wahlberg apes because while that movie was not good, it fit right in with the historic Planet of the Apes series from the 70s. It had the same vibe and look/feel which was a "B" movie with extra cheeze.
This one was all [bad] CGI and a shallow plot that has been played out many times before imo.
To put it simply, this Apes movie felt like trying to slide in Alien vs. Predator into the Predator series. It shared a name - and that's about it. I will give them credit for at least tying in from the original how mankind took 2nd seat. That got it from a D to a D+.
It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. Tossing Draco Malfoy in there was really ridiculous, and they also don't seem to have a good grasp of how genetic therapy works. Oh well.

Spoil:
At least they had the good decency to kill him off.
