Zipay is also out to lunch. He wrote about the Sather interview today. These guys aren't big hockey fans. They get paid to cover the team and their interest ends right there.
Jesse Spector is by far the best. He's a huge fan. It's a shame he left our beat, but it's cool because now he tweets about the whole league (he works for sporting news).
Also, Pat Leonard is TERRIBLE. Anyone agree/disagree?
Parker Milner turned it around and played better. Since they dropped 2 games at Maine in January,BC hasn't lost. However, they played Vermont three times. Worst team in the conference. Waxed Northeastern in the Beanpot. 2nd worst team in Hockey East. Beat up on Providence. Beat UNH twice. Both of those teams are below .500 in the conference and have below .500 records overall. They beat Merrimack twice and they're 5th in the conference. BC also beat BU in OT for the Beanpot.

the effort was always there from jesse but i'm not sure he ever even heard of hockey before getting the gig as the rangers beat reporter LOL
This Eagles team is special. The current senior class has won 102 games (and counting) in its four years at The Heights. Two members of the group -– Jimmy Hayes and Cam Atkinson –- left school after their junior years to go pro. They are part of a group of 20 former Eagles to play in the NHL this
season.
Members of the current Eagles team will be playing soon enough. Brian Dumoulin (Biddeford, Maine) and Tommy Cross (Simsbury, Conn.) are two defensemen with the size and skill to make it in the pros. New York Rangers fans have already begun talking about how Chris Kreider (Boxford, Mass) can help the Blueshirts when his run with BC is over.
Eagles fans have nothing against New York, but they're hoping Kreider doesn't play a regular season game for the Rangers this spring. New York's regular season ends April 7 at home against the Capitals. The NCAA championship game is on that same date in Tampa, and BC is hoping to be busy with its own game that night.
Boston hockey NCAA teams are always overrated by the media and community. BC has 4 titles to Michigan's 9, yet BC get treated like inevitable winners every year.
All but 2 of Michigan's 9 titles have come before 1965. Since York turned the program around in 1998 BC has won 3 titles and appeared 7 times in the championship game. No other team can match that record of success over that period. That's why they get the publicity.
I'm not opposed to Kreider stepping right in, he could definitely inject some talent in the top 9, and I'm fine with losing a year off the contract too. I just worry it might overwhelm him
That's a good point. It speaks volumes of our wonderful offensive creativity and talent that Sather is banking on a college player signing right after his college season ends and then stepping in and producing.

Lets not forget UMASS beat BC twice this year and alot of other good teams in HE so stay tuned it should be a good match up.

Agreed, BCs track record in the past 10 yrs speaks for itself. And I think if anything in the last 5-7 years HE teams have been underrated compared to the WCHA teams everyone loves to fluff. Again I'm talking recently, from 2000-2005 they deserve all the praise they got.

Definitely could happen. From a Rangers point of view the HE tourney is irrelevant though because BC is going to the NCAAs either way.

He started playing better after our freshman goalie Billet came in and outplayed him.
I was there for the BC UNH. UNH had limited opportunities, but I remember Millner being abysmal during the game. Took terrible angles on almost every one of those opportunities. UNH hit a few posts, missed a few wide open nets, and scored 2 goals Millner could have easily saved. BC didn't win that game because of Millner, they won because the offense scored 2 late goals.
I was also in attendance to the beanpot championship against BU. Millner looked different there. Still took some terrifying angles leading to a lot of close calls for BU, but he also made some spectacular saves. Against a good opposition, he could **** the bed. BU had like 35 compared to our 50. Their offense isn't what makes them a good team, it's their defense and goalie. BC has a good offense and defense and a subpar goalie.
He's not the reason that the team is winning so much. It could very well be an early exit.
Providence beat Lowell last night. #7 beat #2. They started a night earlier because of a scheduling conflict on Saturday. Tonight is game #2. If there is a game #3,its on Sunday. BC would play Providence next Friday if BC and Providence win their best of 3. They re-seed after the first round.
And why would anyone want Kreider fighting? Worked out well for players like Stewart, Neal, and Brassard...(in that they injured themselves in fights)
so you wouldnt want him sticking up for a teammate rather have him do it if it means defending a teammate not starting fights. Graves done this alot and no one complained...same with Messier..

They're different players.
And no, I don't want a primary scorer fighting. That's what players like Rupp are for. If it's once in a blue moon (once every few years), fine, but with relative regularity? No.

Just retract your previous comment and leave it at that, lol. Digging yourself a hole here.

You know that Kreider has never played in a league where fights are legal. Right?
He's not a ****ing fighter. Judging him on fighting now?
