I'm a video game nostalgia nut. If I didn't keep it from my childhood, I'll buy it. I still have everything from the Power Pad to the blue edition Sega Game Gear. That goes for board games as well. I just purchased a mint condition Omega Virus board game a couple of months back. We have a blast with it when friends come over.

This board gives games the respect they deserve
I still have my power pad somewhere. I used to have the Track and Field game that came with it, but I can't find it anywhere. I guess I lent it to someone and never got it back.

I also broke out my Genesis a few months ago and played some NHL 95. Sadly the battery in the cart seems to have died, so I couldn't save any of the trades or anything that I did (like putting Craig Janney onto the Sharks like he was supposed to be).

I also have a Game Gear, though not the blue one. I tried to make it run a few weeks back after talking about the baseball games on it with a poster over in the Blue Jays threads on the TML board. Sadly I think its screen is shot as I have to crank the brightness all the way to the top and it still is barely visible. I guess 15-20 years of disuse will do that, even if it was siting in a zipped up travel case.

I actually have every old gaming system I've ever had except for my original Game Boy Advance units, because I used those to get money for an original DS (and it played GBA games, so I didn't really need it anymore)

I do kind of miss my GBA SP though. It was perfect pocket size.

From what I recall, it was originally supposed to be a sort of deconstruction/parody of the gritty, dark anti-hero of the 80s and 90s. Then the marketing people got a hold of it and that went out the window.

They actually also remade the cartoon in the early 00s and it was supposed to be a lot closer in tone to the original books, though obviously not nearly as violent because it was for saturday mornings. Also keeping a lot of the positive changes that the later material made (giving hte turtles different personalities, the colored bandanas, etc). I actually enjoyed the first couple of seasons of it as a sort of quasi-nostalgia trip until they started getting extra weird and going into the future and whatnot.

When I would take the bus to campus, I swear that the seat next to me would be the last one taken. I think people thought I looked intimidating or threatening or something (especially when I would have a toque and long coat on) It was kind of funny at first. Then I realized it was nice because it meant I never had to deal with sitting my backpack on my lap.

Ahahahahaha oh **** yeah it does. Though I dunno if what it implies is any weirder than actually stroking a bag of apples.

Oh hahaha ok. Makes more sense. Still, wearing a chefs hat for no reason would be pretty rad.

And 12 days later I just finished episode 12 of season 4. Excited and saddened to watch the finale right now. It's gonna suck having to watch the show like a normal person. Marathoning it is so much better. :[

Terrific show though. Great writing, superb acting. Cranston is just great. I still giggle at him being Malcom's dad. I also like the actor that plays his son. I'd like to see him more involved in the main story.

Just looked up that Aaron Paul won an Emmy in 2010. He def deserved it. He has a lot of very dramatic, intense scenes that he's nailed, especially these last 2 seasons. Well deserved.

Now, onto the finale then waiting for months till season 5. :/

Cranston played the dentist who Jerry accuses of converting to a Jew so he can use Jewish jokes. That's the line Cranston says that I remember the most.

When you got nothing better to do and you watch a marathon on TBS, you'll eventually get used to it... like me and The Office.

Now you've got me all scared. I better get out to the shed to see if the Game Gear still fires up, lol.

It really does sound like TMNT is something that I want to check out. I feel like I've been lied to my whole childhood...

I've usually got about 10 EPs on my DVR at any given time and watch 5 or so a week at some point. Usually when I'm browsing and don't want to pay too much attention. Then I just pause and watch when I hear my favorite parts.

I was in the pool. I was in the pool
