The 104 pts year... Kostopoulos, Latendresse, O'Byrne, Lapierre, Bégin, Bouillon, Komisarek... that was a lot of hits!

No. He's learning but he's still a ways away and he needs to drop the blue-collar fourth-line energy-player mentality.

He is a born assistant-coach at NHL level. That's it.

I would give him a whole year next season.

But hey! Habs lost last night after a 4 game win streak, so everybody will want a new coach now.

I already answered to your post in another thread about that.

No chance they gonna keep that bunch nor Gauthier IF they don't make the playoffs.

I really question wether the players really care about winning. They hardly ever practice to begin with. Poor working ethic, lot's of mental errors on the ice, they have issues with making passes on the tape. How can you say that you want to win when you play sloppy coming into the first period?

I don't think it was Jacques Martin to blame and I don't think Randy Cunneyworth should be blamed. Pierre Gauthier is not the man of the situatio nand I'm concerned by the fact that he still has his job to this day. He should of been fired BEFORE Jacques Martin.

No.

He is channeling Carbo with his incessant reliance on a DMan playing forward.

He is channeling Martin with his out of proportion ice times given to certain players and taken away from certain players that make no sense with regard to production.

The team has regressed over the last couple of weeks to a flat team with no emotion, no movement, out of position play, passes to nowhere and little puck possession.

Cunneyworth had this team playing with some consistency and now that consistency is gone.

Time to move on. Clean house from right under Molson down to Carriere and everyone in between. Keep the Zamboni drivers.

PP a wreak.
Too "content" with our current lines. He needs to do some juggling to get a second scoring line and get Darche out of the top 6.
Over-reliance on Cole-DD-Patches.
Flaky bench management.
Dude just doesn't have it.
Favoritism towards Crampoli.

Funny how a 4-game win streak against no-shows turned everyone bipolar on a clearly terrible candidate for the position.

To be honest, I don't really care how the rest of the season plays out. I want a clean sweep of management. Gainey, Gauther, everyone. I'd be willing to keep the goalie coach and Timmins. It's time for a new vision for this team.

No.

The guy was put in a bad situation, but he's been actively making it worse. His system is so simplistic I hesitate to call it "a system", he's pretty much halved the scoring chances the PP is getting, his personnel management is whacked. He had a key veteran alienated mere days after his nomination, precipitating a trade.

He didn't screw up the PK, so that's a good point.

Other than that, though, is there really anything you can point at that makes you think, "yeah, I see how that could work longer-term"? 'Cause I'm not seeing it.

Martin had serious trouble with puck possession when he started out with the Habs, but you could see already that his line-matching and bench management was top-notch. That's not exactly the case here.
