I'm not sure, because Platt played for Canada U18, so he probably need 4 full years at Belarus. And we don't know when Belarus HF got their ITC cards transferred to them, but probably like in Ainars Podzins case it happened in autumn (or at least in summer) so everyone should be still sitting on sidelines for an extra year (or else Podzins would be eligible for coming WC).
Anyway, just another reason to hate Belarus even more.
After speaking with Podzinsh during the All-Star break, he mentioned that if all goes well he can play at the upcoming WC for Team Latvia. A few weeks ago he was added to HK Juniors roster in the OLC, so now he has to play at least one game for them and he will become eligible, afaik. That probably means that Platt can go the same route?
Anyway, I like the way situation is developing for Belarus: good head coach, solid pair of forwards who play on the same line for the whole season, solid backup for Koval.
