I realized when I got home last night to check the scores that Luc benched his team for the week. Thats not really how I want to get points and I don't think it's fair to the other teams competing with me.
What I do find interesting hypocritical though is that when I took Brunos team his lines weren't set for quite a few days prior to me officially taking over. The league didn't step in and take over then (like they are now with Luc's team) and I started of with a 9-1 loss for my first week.
Guess who my opponent was that week that benefited with the 9-1 win?
Week four. Check it out.
btw- I'm just busting your balls Y2K. Those four games probably wouldn't have made much of a difference anyways. For the record I think you're doing the right thing right now with regards to manually setting Lucs lines. It just should have also been done with Bruno Mars's team if thats the policy. I don't think you intentionally took advantage of the situation, but it does look sort of bad that it was your team he was playing that week.

S'all good Eddy.
I think it would look even worse if I let Luc's team stay inactive given im chasing his team...
The difference in situations is Bruno was replaced/terminated while Luc quit.

I told ya so. I was right all along!
First of all, please don't act like Girardi was an actually valuable asset in this trade. 1) he's not keeper quality, and 2) he was picked up as a FA 4 days ago. I can understand him being a throw-in, but I took the deal as Hartnell for a 1.
Secondly, I'll investigate it. It hasn't been vetoed.
Luc finally gave up on waiting for Crosby to get healthy and sent me a proposal trading him to me for Bryzgalov and Kipper. He said he needed to improve his goaltending to compete with Y2K and that Crosby wasn't doing anything for him this year anyways.

And as part of a 3-way trade Eddy flipped Crosby to me for Quincey and Kaberle to beef up your D. Right?

yes giaradi was a throw in. but thats irrelevant because i needed dmen and the ones out there are crap. i just want to know why the pool(yahoo) reversed it and if i need to go find a new deal for hartnell

It seems to have just disappeared...but since it was an accepted trade I will make sure it's processed one way or another.
1) I have spoken to a couple candidates to replace both Luc Bourdon and Bgav. I expect a replacement to be in place by no later than this weekend.
2) The trade between Luc Bourdon and xtra which has for some reason disappeared completely from the Yahoo system will be processed. I have transferred ownership of Luc's team to a second account in order to expedite this process to minimize damage/waiting times to xtra. I have proposed the exact deal as was accepted to xtra, and once he accepts I will process the trade immediately. No other trade activities with Luc Bourdon or Bgav will be permitted until their new owners are in place.
never been in a league where a late-season replacement is in a good position to win a fantasy league, but them's the bounces
despite the overly arcane rules of the league, i'm fairly happy with the way everything has been handled...this situation could have devolved into a massive mess but the damage to the integrity of the league has been kept as low as possible and i appreciate that
can't wait for next year and some fresh blood because i've grown to hate my team, anybody looking to trade can send me offers because i'm sick of these players

It is as very sticky situation, but that is very very common in first year keeper leagues. The second year gets better although still may have one or two tinkers, and the third year is usually when things settle down and a core group of 12 managers is established.
With respect to a new manager taking over the leading team, it really doesn't have any affect on the rest of us. There's still a team at the top and that's not changing. It's like a coaching change at the end of the season. Crazy Lou Lamoreillo is up to it again
Happy to join a top notch league with great GM's. Look's like I have quite a bit of work with Bgav's team, so it should be fun trying to make this team competitive again.
It'll be a bit of a learning curve for me, since I'm not very familiar with Yahoo! and it's fantasy set up, but I'll get through it and figure things out. I may (will) have some questions along the way just to clear some things up I'm confused about.

Feel free to ask questions at any time, either on here or you may PM me anytime. There are a few other members who have a learning curve using Yahoo and I have been in contact with them getting them up to speed. Always available to help!
Welcome to the league guys. Get ready for some insane and insulting trade proposals for your first week or so.
Good work getting it dealt with quick Y2K.
And like he said, don't be afraid to ask questions. I was sending Y2K questions a dozen times a day for the first little while.
Don't worry, I'm expecting some mind-boggling offers since I'm new to the league. It happens in every fantasy league.
Probably won't be making any deals until I get settled in a bit more with the league, so don't expect many moves, if at all, from me for the first little bit.
