Bayern are set to sign Shaqiri sometime in the next 2 weeks.
Apparently he's had his medical today. Only heard good things about the lad, if he's the real deal this helps missing out on Reus, while making the Bundesliga stronger than the other way around. It will be interesting to see him making a first real impression on me when we play Basel in the CL. €9M plus title bonuses (to up to €12M) is what they are reporting here, which sounds pretty decent these days.
Yeah. No fee. Talk is he wants playing time and is unsure if he would get it at other places. I also think Spurs would be heavily interested especially if Bale leaves in the summer

Does Munich really need an expensive right or left wing, where Shaqiri seems to prefer to play? On the left wing, they have Ribery and Alaba; on the right wing, Robben (whose contract shall be expanded) has even been substituted for Müller, who plays this position for the Germany national team as well. Shaqiri might have to be very patient in Munich, which will be difficult for a young and highly coveted player.
Money may not be a factor, but I would have made a top central defender the main priority. Munich should also try to find a good central attacker, because Petersen has not shown that he might be able to replace Gomez. Olic seems to be bound to leave Munich. If he prefers living in a city he and his family loves and actually playing as a starter, he will move back to Hamburg; if he prefers to have further years of high salaries and work very hard in every practice, he will choose Wolfsburg.
Yeah FF is a good source, so there must be some truth to it. Still very surprising. He'd start for United without a doubt. Chelsea too. City is another story.
40M€ will be the minimum fee.
I could see Hazard at Spurs if Bale or Modric go, otherwise I don't see them splashing 40m when they also need a striker after Adebayor goes back to City. If it were me, I'd let Modric go in order to finance the move. Regular transfer budget can finance Modric's replacement. That does leave them without something resembling a truly quality striker, but they can manage the situation.
I still see Hazard going to Chelsea in the end. It's a natural fit.

Spurs would be interested because Lennon takes a lot of injuries & likely would play Hazard ahead of him most of the time, Bale is going nowhere.
Sell Modric, Sign Hazard, Sign legit striker and next year should be just as good as this...perhaps a deal for Ade again since he probably won't have a spot for Citeh again next year...
Tottenham is at a crossroad right now. If they sign Hazard without losing Bale or Modric, it will be a statement that they intend to play with the big boys and want to be a major force in England and Europe worthy of Premier League and Champions League trophies. They can however take the safe route and enjoy the moment right now, cash in on (the most likely) Champions League qualification next year, maybe sell Bale and/or Modric and settle for 4-10th place finishes the next 5-10 years.
I hope and think Levy will seize the opportunity and sign Hazard (I have a soft spot for the Spurs). They have a healthy budget and Hazard fits perfectly with the team and their playing style. The only obstacle is the question of Harry Redknapp. Will he be their manager next year?

I'd sell Lennon, say you fetch 10-15 for him & then sell Kranjcar, hopefully you can land near 10 for him although I think he's valued higher than that.
so that gives you a base of 20-25 million by selling those two players, toss in another 15-20 and you got Hazard, Vaart, Bale, Modric all in that team.

Ade will need to be signed too though.....
We'll see. I agree with those sales, but you never know with Spurs. They haven't added like they should in the past few windows (talking about permanent signings). If I'm Modric I stay at Spurs. They have a brighter future than Chelsea if they keep everyone.

The biggest obstacle for Spurs is their own wage structure. While I think it is imperative that they maintain their current (healthy) wage bill, it is unknown if the likes of Bale/Modric/future world class Hazard will stay at Spurs with a max wage of 70-80k per week offered, especially when Chelsea or Real Madrid start knocking on the door offering double.
