the are proud to select, with the 30th pick of the 2012 NHL entry-draft, Brady Skjei from USA U-18 USHL.
" We we're considering other players but we fell like Skjei will bring a physical and defensive edge to the already nice defensive prospects squad we have."
With the 36th pick in the 2012 NHL draft, the New York Islanders are proud to select, from the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States Hockey League, defenseman Michael Matheson.
Quote:
We definitely wanted to upgrade defense in this draft, and are absolutely delighted with this pick. Dumba and Matheson are two fine defenseman who both project to be top blueliners for the Islanders in a few years.
I don't know guys. It's exhausting to have to auto pick for everyone because people can't commit to something like this and inform the next manager it's their turn to pick. Participation is key.

I'm just happy we got to the second round. I know last year there were some mock games that didn't even make it past pick 16.
So thanks for those who did participate. But I think we're just going to call it quits here. Congratulations to those who got to pick in two different rounds. You're participation paid off for your teams hypothetical prospect pipeline.
