Not gonna lie, if Faksa had been off the board, I very well may have taken him at 9...which is why I had been looking to move down, I got a bunch of players really close together here in this area.

I think it's possibly a bit high considering who's still available, I also think it's a safe pick as he is one of the more proven draft eligible players this year. He dominated the Under-20 league in the Czech Republic last year, had a solid rookie season last year, and is now almost at a point-per-game pace after missing much of the year with a head injury.

The Calgary Flames select, from the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL, Zemgus Girgensons.

We love his all around game here in Calgary.

Oh, he is a great prospect for sure. Personally, I just have several prospects above him, such as Collberg and Reinhart. I feel they have a better all-round game than Frk

Definitely see where you're coming from, loved what I saw from Collberg at the WJC and Reinhart appears to be a pretty solid two-way defenseman.

The last pick was made at about 8:30 PM, per the time stamp on the pick.

The twelve-hour clock on the next pick expired at about 8:30 this morning, and the next pick is now 2-1/2 hours late.

Is an expiration time of 8:30 AM considered an "unreasonable hour?"

Some clarification, I think, is needed.

I realize that we all have lives away from the computer, and away from this mock, but we've made just 16 picks in three days, and the rounds after the first traditionally take much longer to complete than the first round.

And the rookie GM who promised activity has not come through, he loses an hour off his time and will be replaced if he misses his next selection.

(thefeebster) is now on the clock.
