Do you think a sponsor is going to commit to a fourth SHR team in 2014 if the driver is Scott Riggs?

Of course not. You're apparently missing my point. Everything about the deal makes sense except that I don't think deals should be allowed to be signed this early.

But then if nascar didn't care about safety until Dale Earnhardt died, why should something as trivial as integrity influence their decision making now?

What I meant by that was that it is beneficial for the race team to find a good, popular driver as soon as possible. So I think it is okay to sign drivers this early. Friendly disagreement, but maybe I am misunderstanding you.

Considering Earnhardt didn't care about safety, why would NASCAR? Even though Gordon was dominating during that time, the sport spun around big E...and we all know what he thought of the HANS and Hutchens device.

I'm good with that because, at the end of the day I'm very happy (pun intended) to see Harvick team up with Stewart. They are my two favorite drivers.

I agree, Earnhardt likely was the cause of his own death considering he refused to mount his seat belts where and how Simpson told him too. But then that's the kind of stuff I do also blame nascar for.

Safety should be paramount and there should be absolute rules for that. But until Earnhardt died nascar couldn't be bothered with stuff like that. Now they can't stop telling you how much safety means to them. If you listen to some of the morons on TV they would have you believe nascar invented the SAFER barrier. But Tony George (who would have believed it, huh?) and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway were the first to spend the money and initiate the research that led to those barriers being developed. Kudos to Tony for that one.

As you may have noticed, I'm not a big fan of nascar and how they run their business. But until I save enough money to buy the series from them I guess they're going to continue to have the last say.

Pretty odd move from Jeff though, especially in front of Keselowski.

Entertaining race, but there is no reason for NASCAR to let them go like that.

Championship is yours for the taking Brad. Go get it.
